(go for it!)
(alright then, you guys can just come to her cause she's still gonna be working. She's on the top floor of the apartment building and they all have a code, a fingerprint scanner, and a key they need to get in. Each person's code is unique and has to be paired with their key and fingerprint. Sorry, does that explanation make sense?)
Luca approached the top floor, snapping her gum as she did so. Stopping at the door to Casey's place, she typed in her code, scanned her finger, and unlocked the door with her key. She did this all mechanically, a rather bland expression on her pretty face. She had done this so many times she could do it with her eyes closed now.
Breezing through the door she called up to Casey, "Hey Boss! I'm here."
Umber flipped into the top window outside of the door and almost bumped his head on the frame of the window. He cursed softly and walked over to the pinpad and door, just as the latter had shuttered shut. He inserted the pin, then his fingerprint and the door unlocked again. He pushed it open and stalked into the room. He didn’t announce himself just yet.
Lane looked down at his drawer which held his candy, most of it was gone. He let out a long, long sigh and stood up again. "If I have to get more, I might as well go over to Casey's and bother her for a bit." He muttered, throwing on a jacket and grabbing his keys.
I'm here."
Casey held up her finger, typing furiously. She finished and shut her laptop. "Luca I've already told you I'm not your boss," she said, standing up and crossing to the kitchen. "Can I get either of you tea?" she asked, acknowledging Umber.
Umber pulled down his mask and glanced around. “A cup of tea sounds nice.” His voice was grumbly and disgruntled. He hadn’t got much sleep last night.
"It does, doesn't it?" Casey said, turning to smile at Cameron. She filled the tea kettle up with water and placed it on the stove, her actions almost mechanical, but still very much alive. She pulled down five teacups from a shelf and lined them up along the counter, almost humming, a rarity for Casey Cortel.
Luca followed Casey, looking mildly amused. She pecked Umber on the cheeks as she passed him. "Well, you're the leader. Head hancho. So I'll call you Boss…Boss." She boosted herself onto the counter then up onto the fridge with ease. Looking down at her companions she grinned.
Luca stuck her tongue out. "You know I won't. When have I ever fallen? You asked for a sexy acrobat and you got the greatest one the world could offer." She was thinking about getting into a particularly difficult pose on the small space on top of the fridge just to show off, but she thought better of it. Casey is in a mood…
Cameron shook off Luca with a soft growl. He didn’t approve of Luca and her… ways. Especially when she spoke of it casually.
“Earl grey is fine,” He answered shortly, sighing and leaning on the wall.
Cameron exhaled heavily through his nose and shook his massive head. “Late. That’s where they are.” He found himself to be quite irritable and sharp when he was tired.
"Be nice Umber," Luca purred, she knew her particular talents irritated him so she frequently used flirtatious ways to get under his skin. "I'm sure they will be along shortly. What's the job, Boss?" Bored of sitting, she stretched and draped herself over the top of the fridge, legs on one side, arms and upper torso on the other. She winked at Casey.
Casey pretended not to see. Luca was cute and flirty, which is exactly what Casey hired her to be. Five or six years ago a girl like Luca winking at her would have left her blushing and stuttering, but now she only poured tea. "I'll brief you when everyone's here." Normally she would not have minded just telling Luca and Cameron what was going on, but this was too big. She turned to Cameron. "Be a dear and call the others, would you?" she asked, knowing Cameron would most likely like a chance to get out of the room.
Cameron flashed a glare at Luca, liking nothing more but to push her off of the refrigerator at beat the shit out of her. He glanced down at Casey and nodded, leaning off the wall.
“I’ll do it now. Which line do you want me to use?”
Cameron took the phone. “Group call or singles?”
Luca's grin turned positively manic at Cameron as he passed her to grab Casey's phone. A grin that promised a good dirty fight, if he ever challenged her. She may be cute, flirty and irresistible to her targets, on the outside, but just under her skin lingered the dirty, dangerous street urchin that Casey had picked up a few years ago.
Cameron met her gaze, thunderously challenging her back. He looked ready to take out his want right there and then.
“Singles,” He confirmed. “Got it.” He didn’t turn.
Luca relaxed, "Fine. Fine. You know I was just playing, Boss." She tugged on her wrist, looking pointedly at Casey.
Cameron stiffened his jaw, the look carefully snuffing out of his eyes as he glanced down at Casey.
“Right.” He pushed out the door and shut it firmly behind him, flipping through the contacts and calling everyone one by one.
"Too bad he's not my type," Luca sighed stretching like a cat to take the cup. "I bet a romp in bed with him is like bedding a hurricane." She snorted and gave Casey an apologetic smile. She would never say the words "I'm sorry" out loud, Casey knew that she never would honestly mean it.
(Honestly I ship it already xD)
(YAAAAAAAS Emi. Same. ;D)
