“I’m not entirely sure how fast preparation can be made in a short amount of time.” He replied gently, knowing that he at least wanted to put the pain off for as long as possible. But he also knew that the pain would stay forever, whether they harried Leif now or later. “What do you think? Should we do it now or wait until everything has calmed down a bit?”

@gracehustle

(Happy late holidays!)

@Fenrir

Happy late holidays to you as well!!!

@gracehustle

"I suppose waiting will be the easiest for everyone to plan with," She decided softly, taking a few moments of silence to think, "The last thing I want to do is cause stress over planning everything in such a short time." Avalin shrugged, picking at her sleeve and focusing on the table in front of them, "We should probably start planning soon though…" She wanted to already be out of Asgard and away from the painful memories, but at the same time, she knew they couldn't leave yet. It left her in a predicament she wasn't sure how to handle.

@Fenrir

He nodded slightly “I’m sure anyone would understand why more time would be needed.” He added on softly. “We’ll stay for a week.” He decided, taking a deep breath. “We’ll talk to Thor today, plan a day for the funeral to happen, most likely in 3 or 4 months, and then we’ll take The rest of the week to plan out anything else.” He said, glancing down at her “is that alright? I know you wanted to leave after today, but I think stayi for a few more days at least to make sure everything’s isn’t in order would make it a little easier on us for when we get back.” Though he knew a funeral for their son was going to be anything but easy for them to get through, even after the few months away

@gracehustle

Avalin nodded, "That's alright." She knew staying here longer was going to make her antsy, but she figured it was an alright tradeoff for a few days of planning. There was also much more of a chance that Thor would be much more lenient to let them leave if he knew they were staying around for a little longer. "As long as we get a break eventually, staying a few more days shouldn't hurt." Looking up at him, she pulled together a tiny smile, "You probably want to spend a little time here now that you're not locked in a cell and you're allowed to see whats changed."

@Fenrir

He laughed softly and rested his head on her shoulder “as much as I’d love to rediscover Asgard and all that’s changed, I think I’d rather take a long, well deserved break from this place. But, if we are staying here for another week, the best we can do is put some distance between us and the castle.” He sighed softly and pressed a kiss to her nose, looking up as Lillian came back with their order of pancakes and hot chocolate

@gracehustle

She leaned against him gently with his answer, a matching smile on her face, "I haven't seen the rest of Asgard since we got back, I'd love to explore some of it before we leave." Avalin's smile grew when she saw Lillian again, as well as the food she had been looking forward to. "Thank you," She said happily, digging into her food as soon as it was in front of her.

@Fenrir

Loki nodded in agreement and detangled himself from her so that they could eat comfortably. He smiled at her as she started eating her pancakes, still finding it a amusing to crave such a breakfast food. He glanced up again when Lillian came back with his order and nodded in thanks as he started eating as well, occasionally trying to sneak a bite of a Avalin’s dish

@gracehustle

"Loki," She said with a small laugh as he tried to steal her dish, sticking her tongue out at him, "I love you more than life itself, but if you steal my pancakes, I'll make you sleep alone tonight." Avalin knew the threat didn't hold much weight, mostly since she couldn't see herself kicking him out of bed, but she didn't want her food stolen. To counter his stealing, she tried to sneak occasional bites of his food, between eating her own that was.

@Fenrir

He arched an eyebrow in surprise, his smile growing. “I merely wanted to understand what you find so intriguing about a breakfast food that includes something usually used for dessert.” He said, moving his plate away as Avalin tried to take his food while he leaned forwards to try to take hers. He eventually gave up after managing to take a bite, decidedly not really liking the combination. He pressed a kiss to her temple and nudged his plate towards her so she could take a few bites as well

@gracehustle

Avalin smiled as he swiped a bite, taking one of his and deciding that though his was good, hers was much better. "I like the idea that it uses the ingredients of a dessert, that means it has to be sweet and delicious." She shifted closer to him as she decided the threat of a food thief was gone, swaying very gently in her seat while she ate. It was a barely visible happy-dance of sorts that seemed to appear as she ate more, even staying by for a few seconds longer once she finished.

@Fenrir

Loki eventually finished off his plate of food with the help of Avalin. He glanced down at her and smiled softly, glad to see that she at least was more happy now than before. He wrapped an around her waist and pressed a kiss to her shoulder, joining her in her slight swaying.
“I see you’ve enjoyed your breakfast.” Lillian said with a smile, walking back to their table and taking their empty plates. “Is there anything I can get you to go?”

@gracehustle

She nodded as Lillian walked back over, gently smiling at the other woman, "If you wouldn't mind…I was wondering if you could pack up breakfast for one of our friends, he wasn't able to come to eat with us this morning." Avalin pressed a soft kiss to Loki's cheek, satisfied happiness on her face as she realized she was actually back with Loki by her side for good. Or she hoped it would be for good. Any more pain and she wasn't sure if she could handle it without him.

@Fenrir

“Of course! Anything in particular for your friend or would the traditional breakfast be alright?” She asked, balancing the plates on her arm as she’s pulled out a notepad to write down the order.
Loki leaned into Avalin a bit when she kissed his cheek. He was honestly done with losing what mattered most to him over Andy over Andy over again. All he wanted now was to take a break and enjoy a life where he and Avalin would live without having to worry about anything.

@gracehustle

"A traditional breakfast should work, can I get a hot chocolate with that as well please?" She asked politely, wracking her brain to try to remember what Magnus liked. As far as she could remember, he wasn't very picky, but he seemed to like hot drinks, and hot chocolate seemed like a safe option. Glancing up at Loki, she offered a tiny smile, "Anything else you want for the walk back to the palace?"

@Fenrir

Lillian nodded, writing down the order for the breakfast and hot chocolate. “I’m sure your friend will love this.” She reassured with sweet smile.
Loki thought for a moment and scooted out of the seat, whispering his order to Lillian before settling back down.
Lillian smiled with a shake of her head and went to the back to personally fill in their order

@gracehustle

Avalin slid right next to him as he sat down, hooking her arms around one of his. She smiled to Lillian, then closed her eyes, taking in the feeling of being able to sit here with her husband. "Did I ever tell you how much you mean to me," She murmured, looking up to him.

@Fenrir

He laughed and nodded “every single day my love, just by being by my side,” he replied, pressing a sweet kiss to her lips. “I only hope I do the same.” He nudged her head affectionately “you’re everything to me.”

@gracehustle

She smiled, pressing a kiss to his cheek in return, "You mean more to me than all of the nine realms combined." Avalin looked around the cafe as they waited for the food, watching it get become steadily busy as the city woke up. She smiled sadly at a family that walked in, a small child held in male's arms and a little boy holding the woman's hand.

@Fenrir

Loki followed her gaze and sighed quietly, “we’ll have another chance, love. You’ll see.” He said softly, straightening when Lillian came back with Magnus’ and Loki’s order. “There you are, I do hope you enjoy.” She smiled sweetly at them, hugged each of them tightly Andy then went off to start to take other peoples meal orders. “The poor thing needs a break.” Loki said, nodding at Lillian as he stood and took the bags of food. “Ready to talk with him?”

@gracehustle

"Thank you Lillian, I really appreaciate this," She said as LIllian came over, returning the hug tightly as she pulled her focus away from the family. "I'm not sure if I'm ready to talk to your brother, but I suppose we have to eventually. First we're visiting Magnus right?" Avalin shrugged and held out a hand, smiling gently, "I can take the food if you'd like." She led the way to the door, waving one last time to Lillian as they made their way back onto the streets of Asguard.

@Fenrir

He nodded “yes, Magnus comes first.” He decidedly gave her breakfast, not wanting her to peek at the dessert. He followed her out of the cafe with a final wave to Lillian. “Don’t worry, I’m not all too thrilled about talking to him either, but it must be done.”
On the way back to the castle, Loki’s mind filled with millions of ways his and Thor’s conversation could go, some even landing him back in the dungeons. He didn’t need for that to happen, so he’d try to be a bit more cooperative, though that decision didn’t come easily, especially when most of the things he wanted to say were more were more insulting. With a heavy sigh, he glared at the guards posted near the door as they passed, making sure to keep his head high, even as they were in the halls.

@gracehustle

Avalin was lost in her thoughts as they walked back to the palace, aware enough of her surroundings that she smiled hesitantly at the guards as they passed. Then she was pulled back to her mind, letting the topics keep her occupied the entire way towards the servant's quarters. She wasn't sure if Magnus was even there, but it was a good place to check, and it was away from the throne room, where they would eventually have to meet Thor.
"Does it feel strange to walk freely in the halls again?" She asked gently when she focused on the present, looking around and mentally gauging how many guards would be around each part of the palace.

@Fenrir

He sighed softly and nodded “yes it is, usually when I step in here and not have to fight my way through the halls.” He laughed and shrugged. “It’s an odd change.” He guided the way to the servants quarter, taking the longer way around so as to avoid the throne room and his brother as much as possible. He asked around to some of the other servants, seeing if they knew where’s Magnus was now. Some were a bit nervous, others outright ignored him, though they did manage to find out Magnus’ whereabouts through one of Avalin’s closer friends Andy colleagues.

@Fenrir

Booping very lightly no rush :3

@gracehustle

(Ah shoot I thought I replied to this >_< I’ll reply as soon as I have access to a computer)

@Fenrir

(It’s alright!)

@gracehustle

"He must have taken up my daily work if he's assigned to the library," Avalin said gently as they headed away from the servants quarters towards the library, a guilty frown crossing her face, "That means he's working almost twice as much as before…he was as tired as I was just doing one person's work, with two…gods.." She squeezed Loki's hand as they walked, lost in her worry for their friend. Even though she was grateful not to be working again, she hated the idea of Magnus being further punished for her not being there anymore.

@Fenrir

Loki gently squeezed back, disheartened to hear that Magnus was now working more due to their actions. It was his fault that Magnus was in this situation for asking him to go against orders just so he could see Avalin and their unborn child. Tears pricked at his eyes but he refused to cry any more, Not until Magnus was free from his duties and Avalin and him were away from Asgard. With that in mind, he raised his head high as they passed Byblos a few guards, mustering any shred of confidence he had left as they entered the servants quarter. He stopped before they went any farther. He turned to Avalin and sighed softly. “I think it’s be best Igbo I speak with Thor first. You bring Magnus food while I find my brother. It’ll be easier to talk to him without giving him an incentive to defy any requests.”
