She capped the bottle and fell back, her head resting in his lap. She looked up at him, one eye closed as the sunlight was still a little much for her poor eyes. "Honestly? Stay in bed all day."

"No exits other than the door, and it's underground. Not a good combo." She shrugged. "I can go to the music and dance studio, as well as the gym. But that's only because A) There are exits, and B) They provide distractions from the panic."

She pulled her legs up to her chest and rested her chin on her knees, mind wandering aimlessly. Her attention sometimes slid over to Nik, but she didn't allow herself to linger on those thoughts too long.

as they sat together, nik had eventually pulled out his phone and read over some articles, mostly conspiracy theories, cryptid sightings and one about his "disappearance". he shared the funnier ones with tess, and when it came time for him to fuck on off to the other room, he give tessa a kiss on the forehead.
