Baz smiled "you know you shouldn't walk backward you might trip," he said laughing at the thought of it
Heyo//OxO//CLOSED
"Ah, I know. I just… I don't know I wanted to actually face you for a second… I don't know." Milo said turning around again. He caught sight of his house a little down the road. "We're almost home!"
Baz blushed for a second as his heart skipped a beat what was this human doing to him this wasn't normal He was always the one to make others blush never the one who blushes he shook his head trying to escape his thoughts but it was nearly impossible it didn't matter they were almost as Milos house which meant he could escape him for a while.
After a minute or two, they got to the house. Milo opened the door and held it open for Baz, smiling all the while. He smelled something wonderful. It was his mom making dinner. "Hello dear, perfect timing you two, dinner's almost ready!"
Baz walked in the house smelled odd it wasn't what he was used too "What is that" he asked following the smell to the kitchen were Milos mom was cooking he tilted his head in confusion and his tail, that he had completely forgotten about, went still
It's a good thing Milo's mom was to busy finishing up dinner or else she would have noticed Baz's tail and freaked out. "Oh, it's just lasagne. Have you not had it before?" She asked, shocked. Milo smiled and walked up next to Baz and nudged him slightly with his elbow.
Baz pulled his tail back in and shook his head no "What's lasagne is it good?"
"Well, just between you and me, my lasagne is the best out there. Just ask Milo, he loves lasagne and he tries to find one better than mine. And not to my surprise, he hasn't." Said Olivia smugly. She took pride in her cooking so she was never afraid to brag about it. Milo was just smiling the whole time his mom was talking.
"Mom, we're going to dry off and clean up before dinner, well be back soon." Said Milo as he turned around to go to his room, motioning for Baz to follow him.
"Oh well, it smells delicious." he smiled and followed Milo "I still have no idea what lasagne is." he glanced back at Olivia still very confused "explain it to me"
"I mean, it's not that strange of a thing and you'll see it in just a second…" Milo said with a little sigh before explaining it. "So, to be technical, lasagne is the plural of lasagna which is a type of pasta. But the dish that my mom is making is made up of layers of the pasta, meat, cheese, vegetables, and tomato sauce." He explained. He was the "nerd-type' at school and this just proves why. He knows too much about random things that aren't that important.
"Oh, humans have such weird food," he smiled "how do you come up with it." he shook some of the water off
"You know what, I've wondered that myself. I guess people just try random stuff and there they go, a food has been born." Milo said while rifling through his closet for clothes. "Oh hey, do you need a change of clothes?"
"No, I'll be fine" he burst into flames for a second and then it went out "when will dinner be done, I want to try that lasagne stuff"
Milo's eyes practically popped out of his eye sockets, ready to run and get the fire extinguisher. He let out a breath and ran his fingers through his hair. "Please don't do that when I'm around… I will spray you with the fire extinguisher if you do it again." He threatened, or attempted to threaten. He looked up at Baz and forced a smile. "It's probably ready now actually. You can go and I'll be out in a minute."
Baz let out a laugh at Milo's attempt of a threat "Okay I won't do it when you are around again," he then turned towards the kitchen and left
Milo sighed and closed the door before changing into dry clothes and going to the dining room. Food was already set out and Olivia was sitting down talking to Baz. Milo to sit next to him and got some food for himself.
"This is some of the best food I've had in almost 100 years!" Baz stuffed his face with more food "we have a lot of cooks in hell but none of them are as good as you, Olivia"
"Er… um. By H-hell I'm assuming you mean a certain restaurant? Uh, thanks though…" Olive said confused and a little worried. Milo frantically tried to think of something to say, but his mind was blank. He sent a worried look to Baz and lightly nudged him again.
Baz looked up at Milo confused and then realized what he said "Oh, uh ya my father … he uh has a restaurant called Hell you wouldn't know it" he laughed nervously and then went back to eating
Olivia just nodded and went to eating her food as well. "Well, it is really good, mom. Baz isn't wrong." Milo said trying to break some of the tension.
"Thanks, dear. I'm glad you guys like it." Olivia said with a small smile.
"OW FUCK" Baz yelled as he put a hand on his forehead "unbelievable timing father" he whispered under his breath. The pain then went away and he put his hand back down still looking upset
Olivia jumped because of Baz's sudden outburst and she looked very concerned. Milo quickly turned to Look at Baz, concern also in his eyes. "Um… you okay?" asked Milo, "Do you need an ice pack or something?"
"No, I'm fine" he said annoyed " It was just-" he looked over at Olivia "Nothing it was nothing" he calmed down a little
"Are you sure, dear? That didn't sound like nothing." Olivia said, still worried for him. Milo looked between the two of them.
"Mom, I'm uh, sure he's okay. It has been a long day so… yeah."
The pain came back duller this time Baz growled "don't worry about it" He stood up "do you have anywhere private I could go" the pain became more intense
"There's an empty bedroom at the end of the hall." Milo said quickly. He knew Baz wasn't okay, it was pretty obvious, but he didn't want to pry so he left him alone.
Baz quickly walked to the empty room and closed and locked the door "What do you want father I'm busy" He said in a very hushed tone "Why are you in the human world." a much louder, deeper voice spoke "shh they can hear you, you know and there are other ways to get my attention than whatever that was. I'll talk to you later" "Bazilten don-" the voice was cut off and he left the room
Milo was extremely confused and worried as he heard the door closed and lock. He finished his meal and waited for Baz to come back. He then heard the door open and he stood up, meeting Baz in the living room. "Hey, is everything okay?"
"uhh ya just my father no need to worry" he smiled but his eyes looked concerned "he was just asking why I was here but that's no concern of his." he glanced over at Olivia and then back at Milo
Milo nodded, still sensing that everything wasn't completely okay. "Um, you can have that room if you want. It was my sister's until she moved out so it is out of use at the moment." He explained. "I'm going to go to bed, I'm tired… goodnight."
