(hey so im trying to get a villain for the actual story
i have a minor name for the actual person, but im struggling to figure out their powers/their villain name
if you could help me, that would be great!
and im asking cause you kind of know the maddi character)

(Sure, no problem. What do you have in mind for the villain so far?)

(their name is gabriel
thats about it)

(Ok… 🤔)

(I'm just going to use Spiderman villains as a reference, but what threat level would you like? Green Goblin, Venom, Carnage, …)

(probably somewhere between green goblin and venom in power level, but i dont want to just blatantly use a spiderman villain: i want something original, but i cant think)

(ok, I understand. Honestly, I'm not very creative most of the time… (part of the reason I don't have a profile pic) but I do have a potential Moniker so far. What do you think of Nighthawk?)

(idk, that makes me think of batman and gabriel's not gonna be that kind of character
i kinda think of him as someone who either has no powers or is really powerful)

(Okay, I can see what you mean. … I think it would be a good conflict for the story if he was a powerful villain. … What about a cybernetic villain type?)

(cybernetic like….a cyborg or something? cause i definitely want someone who is human, or at least partly human)

(I definitely agree with the human villain, we can do a cyborg. Maybe Gabriel could have robots as ”minions”? It's totally up to you. I'm just offering suggestions.)

Maddi didn't answer for a few moments. "I don't want to arrive to empty apartment, and Jensen won't get home for a couple hours. But nothing big ever really happens: at least not while Blaze is in jail. So….I guess I'll swing around, clear my head."

Hannah nodded. ”Hopefully he stays there for more than a week.” she half-joked. ”I have a scanner set up if anything does happen, so I’ll let you know if I hear anything and you do the same for me?” she asked.

Maddi smiled slightly under her mask, something unseen to Hannah. Then she jumped off, curving her body as she fell. About a hundred metres off the ground, she shot out webbing. The webbing pulled her up and allowed her to swing, grazing her feet on the ground ever so slightly. Swinging was probably the best feeling in the world. The adrenaline rushing through her body, the wind filtering through her mask, everything about it was just amazing.

Mage rolled her eyes with a smile. ”Show-off.” She couldn't help but tease, doubtful that Spiderling actually heard. At least she seems to be feeling better now.

When Maddi was Spiderling, it seemed as if she was a different person. She could almost completely forget about her struggles. Almost. They were always in the back of her mind, nagging at her thoughts. And there was only so much she could do to ignore them.

Hannah was actually a little tired. Her ”flying” was really more of a self levitation spell, one she was able to maintain for hours if she wanted and able to use to carry multiple people. But it did cause a mental strain if she pushed too hard. She had dropped the illusion when Maddi went skydiving and decided to actually head home this time.

Maddi swung around and landed on the side of a building, sticking to it. She partially took her mask up and pulled her phone out of her pocket. It didn't drop, since she used her sticky-ness to keep it there. She had a missed call from Jensen, so she called him back.

Hannah had a habit of taking a long roundabout way home when she was in costume, and at some random point, she would make herself disappear to the public and head straight home. She didn't usually drop that illusion until she was in civilian clothes. But despite it not being her usual style, the ”robes” were actually pretty comfortable and with Maddi still swinging; she wanted to be ready just in case. So she only removed the cloak and her mask before slipping on one of her ex-boyfriend's overly large hoodie over the top.
”Time to go to work.”

As soon as Maddi called Jensen back, his voice was fraught with worry. "Where are you? I got home from work and you're not home!"
"I…just went for a short walk. I'll be home soon. I promise."
"Fine, just….you know what I'm gonna say."
"Yeah, I'll see you in a few minutes."
Maddi put her phone away and began to swing towards her apartment.

It seemed like computers had their own type of magic to Hannah. That's one of the reasons why she works to repair the damage done to them by careless or forgetful owners. She preferred to do it by hand rather than over the phone for a couple of reasons. One: if the problem was simple enough to fix that way, then there was no challenge. Two: talking someone through a process she could do in her sleep was tedious and annoying.
She could honestly go on a whole rant about why she prefers the more technical problems as opposed to dealing with the people. But at the same time, she could get lost in the ”Matrix” and lose track of time.

Maddi landed on the outside of the apartment, sticking to the wall outside her apartment. She stuck above the window, looking in and waiting for Jensen to go for a shower. When he finally did, she climbed into the apartment and took her mask off. As quickly as she could, she pulled off her costume and shoved it into her side of the wardrobe in the back of a drawer. She heard Jensen get out of the shower and begin to open the door, so she grabbed one of his hoodies and pulled it on, reaching mid-thigh.

(ive been creating a playlist for maddi recently to get inspo for her character and stuff, if you wanna listen)

(Looks really cool! I’ll try to listen to it soon.)

Finishing another computer program Hannah managed to tear her eyes away from the screen long enough to send Maddi a text.
’didn't hit any walls on the way home this time didja? 😜’

This was just in time for Jensen to walk into the main room of the apartment, wearing only a pair of sweatpants. They had a small apartment: the siblings were used to seeing each other a little bare. "Oh, you got home while I was in the shower?"
"Yeah, sorry." Maddi felt her phone buzz, but she ignored it. "Dinner?"

‘P.S. tell your cute brother I said Hi.’
Hannah giggled at that message as she sent it. Maddi knew she wasn't really interested in dating Jensen. She just enjoyed teasing her best friend a little too much sometimes. Her stomach growled a bit loudly in the empty room. Hannah didn't really have anything left to do for her financial job and the scanner hadn't gone off for anything serious… Finally making up her mind, she walked into her little kitchen and reheated some leftover Chinese food.

As if on cue, Jensen's stomach growl. "Yeah, let's cook something."
Maddi always enjoyed Jensen's cooking. It was hard not to: he'd gone to culinary school and pass with almost perfect marks. Even though he could have gone to a really high-class restaurant, he decided to work for his best friend instead. He enjoyed it, which was the main thing.
The siblings only ever had home-cooked meals: they very rarely ate takeaway. Jensen got to cooking some beef stirfry.

As much as she appreciated the quiet days, with no serious criminal activity, Hannah was a bit bored. She had finished fixing her client's computer and was now sitting on her old Lazy-boy, watching Lord of the Rings with a magic tome floating at chest height and her most recent school assignment on the table next to her.
A familiar meow quickly drew her attention to the window. ”Hello, Merlin.” she smiled as the orange tabby jumped into her lap. ”I hope you're not here to steal my teriyaki.”

As Jensen got to working cooking their dinner, Maddi sat down and started to work on a school assignment. She was a good student, but she was really struggling with this one. She blamed it on the teacher switch half-way through the year, with the new teacher being incapable of teaching and having taught them nothing so far.
