Garnet looked at Oliver with a shocked look on her face. Did he know who her mother was? "I didn't get hurt. It's hard to be nice when you've never been shown love. Even my father finds it hard to give me love." Now, of course, Oliver would have no idea who her father was. NO ONE knew who her father was. There was a reason for that, too.

He sighed, pinching the bridge of his nose lightly as he thought of what to say before turning his eyes back to her. Could he show her love? He wasn't thinking about romance now. He was quite the hopeless romantic, and he did consider her quite beautiful, but he could never with her. One she was obviously a villain. How she held herself and how she talked and even looked.
He turned with a smile to her "let's be friends"
Now Garnet was confused. "Why? Why on earth would you want to be friends with me? No 'prissy princesses' or 'perfect princes' ever want to be friends with me. Why are you any different? And why would I want to be friends with you?"
