Let me set the scene. It's 7042, on another world. The humans have taken over a solid half of the galaxy, whilst the other half has been taken over by a species called the Venusians. Originally of Venus, they abandoned their world after it was destroyed, and they have far more history than the humans would ever dream of. However, this is not about the old. This is about the new.
High Priest Luta, from the Southern Rivers of New Venus, has high hopes for his coronation. He is to become a Temple, a rank reserved for only the most devout followers of the Venusian God, Ephsa. He was merely a child when the Ephsan Order of Peace took him in and raised him to be a Priest, and he never expected that he'd gain the rank so quickly, at only 32, young for a Venusian, even a Native… and then the human Prince of Earth conquers Luta's sector of the Ephsan Order in the name of the human Empire and takes Luta in to be his consort in order to hold full power over the sector. Blah blah cue sci fi royalty enemies to lovers.
The gist is that Luta is supposed to be moving up the ranks in order to kinda like religiously ascend, but the party is crashed by an arrogant Earth Prince who takes over his world and takes Luta to be his consort since Luta is technically the biggest and best of the religious figures on the Southern Rivers of New Venus, he's basically Pope and he was about to ascend to Pope+ for extra brownie points. Blah blah, cue the sexy jazz music because these bitches gay, good for them! Good for them! but anyways that's the gist of the plot.
