Bryce chuckled and followed her out and to the kitchen. “All right. Which vegetables do we need, and how small should I chop them up?”
I Know What You Did Last Summer [Private RP // Finished! Thanks for reading!]
"I need carrots, bell peppers–the green ones, and two pieces of garlic," Joy paused. "Cut the carrots into small cubes. I just need one carrot cut. And the one bell pepper can be cut just once, too."
She stopped walking, turning around to look at Bryce. It had been just one day, and they'd become comfortable with each other again. Biting her lower lip, Joy walked over to Bryce, stood on her toes, and wrapped her arms around his neck.
Bryce smiled down at Joy and rested his hands in her waist. “Hey, beautiful… What’s on your mind?” he asked softly, kissing her forehead.
Joy sniffled, digging her head in the crook of his neck.
"I'm just… really grateful, you know?" she whispered. "I'm so lucky to have you."
“I’m glad you’re happy,” Bryce murmured, wrapping his arms around her and holding her tightly. “You are my favorite person in the world…”
"I'll work hard to be the joy in your life," Joy promised, loving his strong arms around her waist. "I won't let you down again."
“You are my joy… My pride and joy, the love of my life… My princess… I know how much it hurt you that you did what you did. Everything is forgiven,” Bruce murmured into her hair.
Joy smiled, tears leaking from her eyes. He was perfect… how could anyone be so perfect?
“Thank you, Bryce…” she whispered. “I love you so, so much… you’re the best thing that has ever happened to me.”
“I love you too, babe,” Bryce whispered to her, hugging her close. “So much…”
Joy sighed in content, resting her head on his shoulder, wanting to stay in that same position forever. There was no other place she wanted to be besides in his arms.
Unfortunately, her stomach decided to be an idiot. It growled loudly.
Bryce chuckled softly and pulled back, kissing her forehead. “Let’s get started on the food, yeah? Don’t want to upset your stomach.”
Joy blushed heavily before clearing her throat.
“Ye—Yes,” she stammered, flustered. “Let’s get started. I’m starving!”
(Skip? Idk when to, but… 🤷🏼♀️)
(I have no idea, either.)
(Hm… Next day? Post college classes?)
(I just remembered that I said it was still summer… So no college…)
(Thank God for them.)
(Lol. Yeah. So… Maybe after work, then?)
(Probably. 🤷♀️)
(Mmmm’kay…)
“Joy? Are you home? I’m back,” Bryce called as he stepped through the door. He closed it behind himself and took his shoes off.
Joy looked at herself in the mirror, heaving a tired sigh. She’d been getting less and less sleep, and the little sleep she had left her more exhausted than better.
When she heard Bryce’s voice, though, she immediately perked up. Her boyfriend was home! She darted out of the bathroom and almost slipped when she entered the living room.
“Bryce!” She exclaimed, paying no attention to the fact that she almost fell. “Welcome home!”
Bryce’s eyebrows shot up when he noticed her stumbling out. He chuckled softly and crossed the room to meet her. Sweeping her up into his arms, he pressed a long kiss to her lips.
“Well, hey there,” he murmured, pulling away a little.
Joy giggles when he sweeped (???) her into his arms and pressed a long kiss to her lips. She fought back a smile and wrapped her arms around his neck, kissing him back.
“I missed you,” she whispered against his lips, not wanting to pull away. “I came back home a while ago, and it was so boring, Bryce. I ended up making cake and cupcakes and cleaned the house but it was still not enough because it was still hours left for you to get home, and then I got tired of waiting but you’re here now so I’m happy.”
(Easy there, Joy! Breathe!)
(Lol. She reminds me of someone, but I can't put my finger on it…)
Bryce chuckled and kissed her quickly once more before pulling away. "You made cake and cupcakes? Babe, how long ago did you get home? And what kind of cake…?"
Joy furrowed her eyebrows, keeping her arms around his neck as she looked up at him.
"Um, I got home two hours ago. Work was slow today so I wasn't needed anymore, which wasn't very nice. I was a very good staff member," Joy said, sighing and resting her forehead against his chest. "And you have to guess!
"You made both a cake and cupcakes in two hours? Babe, where has all this energy come from?" Bryce laughed, kissing the top of her head. "Um… Strawberry? Red velvet?"
"When I think about you being happy, I think I can do everything," Joy replied softly, grinning up at him. "Strawberry cake, red velvet cupcakes! And now we're out of strawberries. I wanted to go and get some, but it was too tiring, so I didn't. I'll get them tomorrow."
Bryce laughed and met her lips in a lingering kiss. "You are an amazing woman, Joy. You know that? You really can do anything and everything…"
Joy pushed herself against his lips, standing on her toes for better access.
"What can I say?" she shrugged, although felt really shy. "You are my motivation. For everything. I want to make you happy, so I'm going to try my best."
“Joy… You don’t have to try so hard. I’m happy that you’re even here. The simplest things make me happy from you,” Bryce assured her gently, running his hand through her hair. “Now… I believe there are some desserts calling my name?”
