Do they have wings on earth?)

It wasn’t very loud, but…something small scurried into his house behind him. It dashed behind the box he’d set down and peered out from the corner to look at him curiously with red eyes.

@Fraust

(Yep)
Lloyd turned to look at the creature. After looking at it curiously for a minute, he knelt down beside it. “What is this…?” He wondered aloud, hesitantly stretching out one hand towards it.

group

Ok cool)

The white faced creature cautiously sniffed his hand, taking gradual steps out into the open.

“Oh my gosh, I’m so sorry!” A woman stood in his doorway, “That’s my ferret…”

@Fraust

Lloyd fell backwards when someone appeared, startled. He tried to fold his wings in a way that made them less visible at first until he noticed the other person was an angel as well. “Er… no problem.” He stood up and dusted himself off. Introducing yourself is polite, right? “I am Lloyd Saxon Windsor. Pleasure to make your acquaintance.” He bowed as he’d always been taught to do in heaven. (He’s insanely formal at first by the way lol)

group

Aww lol)

She kept her wings folded tightly against her back, dipping her head in return, “Pleasure to make yours as well…I’m Sabina Patel.” She knelt down to pick up her ferret, “And his name is Apollo.”

Apollo bounded across the room to Sabina, chattering happily.

@Fraust

(My sister has two ferrets btw)
“If you don’t mind my asking, what is he?” Lloyd watched the ferret for a moment. There weren’t any creatures like him in heaven. After a second or two, he allowed his wings to relax. They hadn’t really been fully hidden in the first place, as they’re massive, but now they were completely shown.

group

Oo!)

“He’s an albino ferret.” Sabina stood up and answered, cradling Apollo like a baby, “Despite his red eyes, he’s the sweetest thing.” She smiled.

@Fraust

“Strange… it reminds me rather of wyverns or wyrms in folklore, although it is a rodent.” (Great explanation Lloyd like wtf) Lloyd pet the ferret gently. “And very small.”

group

Apollo slowly blinked at Lloyd, very much enjoying the attention.

“Hah, And much furrier.” Sabina chuckled, “You just moved in today?”

@Fraust

Lloyd nodded. “Were you stationed on earth too? I’ve never been here before. It’s quite unusual to see the clouds above me rather than below.”

group

“I’ve been stationed here for a long time now..About five years.” She answered, “As long as Apollo’s been alive. What about you?”

@Fraust

“My first time. Well, aside from the odd battle, of course. One or two of them have occurred on earth. What is your preferred weapon?”

group

“Um..” she blinked, “I suppose I don’t have one. I haven’t fought in a battle in a long time.”

@Fraust

“Huh… you really have been here a long time. I have a sharp ended bow.” Lloyd took the weapon out of his box. It seemed to be an ordinary bow for the most part, bu pt the tips were metal and sharpened like swords.

group

She leaned forward to admire it, “Wow…that’s beautiful. I used to use a Celtic sword; It’s tucked away in some boxes in a closet somewhere now…I just haven’t needed to use it lately.”

@Fraust

“I’m here to protect the earth. How do humans react to unsheathed weapons?” Lloyd asked, holding the bow in one hand.

group

“Humans are very touchy about weapons, I suggest keeping it tucked away on your person…and not going through metal detectors.” She smiled sheepishly, “I advise by experience.”

@Fraust

“Metal detector? What’s that?” Lloyd set the bow on the ground, looking confused.

group

“It’s an arch the humans make you go through to detect if you have any weapons. They’re especially prevalent when going to public events.” She replied.

Apollo shuffled himself around to crawl up her sleeve.

@Fraust

“Weird… why wouldn’t they allow weapons? They’re for their own protection. Do they want to be unarmed when they are attacked?”

group

She shook her head, “I don’t know, humans are weird.”

The ferret traveled to her jacket hood and curled up there in the faux fur.

@Fraust

Lloyd nodded. “Definitely. I haven’t seen a single human carrying a weapon of any kind. They’re just so vulnerable all the time. I suppose that’s why we’re here, hmm?”

group

Sabina Agreed, “I watch over a little boy named Eli. He’s about three, and when his mom goes to work she drops him off here for me to babysit him.” She smiled, “he’s adorable.”

@Fraust

“So at least they have jobs… what work do humans do? From what else I’ve learned, probably something quite different to what I know.

group

“Um…some are artists, some run the states and govern the people, others perform on camera and get famous. To name a few.”

@Fraust

“Camera?” Lloyd seemed confused. “How does one perform on this ‘camera’?”

@Fraust

“Alright. Earth seems to be very different from heaven, and not particularly dangerous. I’m not entirely sure why it is necessary for us to be stationed here, but I am not one to question orders.”

group

(Previous response, weird glitch) Sabina smiled, “I’ll just have to show you sometime. I can’t explain it right now.”

———————————-

“I haven’t really needed to do much here other than watch after Eli, so it’s pretty nice. Not much to do.”

@Fraust

“Don’t you get… you know, bored?” Lloyd glanced at the door. “There’s not really much for you to do here.”

group

She glanced down at the floor, wings gradually drooping, “I suppose…yeah..”
