1) Your father is forcing you to marry someone you have never met. The night before the wedding, you tie your sheets together and make your escape through the window. Halfway down, you make eye contact with someone doing to exact same a few windows over.

2) You're having a really bad day and you look up and halfheartedly say, "Please, please, please someone help me." One minute later someone with little horns appears. Apparently, the devil's child heard your request and had to fight several angels just to arrive first to be your "guardian" because "you're cute".

After a long day of school, Marigold finally made it home, covered in sweat from the hot bike ride home. She plopped down on her carpet floor. After a couple minutes, she sighed remembering the backpack full of homework that was due the next day. Crawling her way to her bedroom, she picked up her backpack on the way. After changing into more comfortable clothing, she at down to attempt her math homework. Just a few minutes later, Marigold had given up. Standing up from her chair, she walked over to the window looking up at the sky. "Please, please, please someone help…" She said half-serious, but not actually thinking much of it.

Alya had been mostly messing around in her dad's throne room and had been looking into the seeing table only to find a verrryyyyyy cute girl asking for help. That was usually angels jobs, but damn she was cute. So a few minutes later, she showed up behind the girl, a few scratches on her knuckles but otherwise looking devilishly beautiful. Alya had long black hair tied into an elegant bun with braids, her ram horns were curled above her ears.

Marigold had her earbuds in listening to some music. Just a second after Alya appeared, she decided to get some water, taking out her earbuds. She stood up and turned to walk out the door. Jumping back with the sight of Alya, she almost tripped over her backpack. "AHH! Who are you!?… What are you?!… Am I hallucinating?!"

Alya waved. "Hey, I'm Alya, the devil's kid. You're in need of a guardian and I think you're cute, so here I am." She laughed, sticking out a well-manicured hand as an invitation to shake it. She was a bit intimidating, in her classy black pantsuit and red high heels.

Marigold noticed how well-dressed Alya was, she then looked down at her short pajama shorts and her Avenger's tee-shirt. Hesitantly, she took her hand, fingernails short and slightly chipped. "I'm uh, Marigold… and thanks?" She was so confused, a random person appears in her room claiming she is Marigold's guardian.

"Cool, so why'd you so desprately need my help? I had to fight a couple of angels to get here first, you know." Alysa asked, flopping down onto Marigold's bed and examining her nails with intrest.

"Err… I don't really know… anywayy didn't actually need help, I just really don't want to do my literal piles of homework…" Marigold sat back down in her chair, backward resting her arms on the back of it.

"What kinds? I'm pretty good at math, it is the Devil's subject after all." She stood up, looking over the work with a few nods. "Do you understand it at least?"

Marigold sighed. "Yeah, I suppose… it's just so time-consuming." She said turning around to look at her work again.

"I'll help." Alya stated, pulling a few papers and a clipboard into her lap, summoning a pen to write with She was quiet for a few minutes, the only sound from her was the pen scratching. "Done."

Marigold's eyes widened. "What?! You're already done?!" She shook her head. This isn't really happening, right? "Thanks?" Confusion was all over her face once again.
