I'm bored... so O/O anyone? (Doing O/O with Cloudy)

So, uh yeah. I'm bored, and want to roleplay one-on-one. Preferably romantic, but I'll do any humanoid, non-realistic (as in, I want a roleplay with magic, but not necessarily in a magic world) roleplay.

Rules:
andrew (Our Supreme Lord and Overseer)'s roles, of course.
Mild cursing. I don't mind an occasional F-bomb or female dog bad word, just… don't make it a habit.
Please no sex. That just makes me uncomfortable to the max.
And of course, no godmodding/power playing.
And, double of course, I want you to have fun, whoever I choose to roleplay with me.

Hey, mind if I take this spot?

Sure. Have any ideas?

Well, my favorite character of mine at the moment is a half-siren male by the name of Quincey Martin. On the site I originally created him for, he's the healer for a hunter organization set in Chicago, and he has a "pet" hellhound. Although any of that can be changed for the sake of a plot.

Warning, though: He's kind of a spaz and has virtually no filter (not language-wise—I'm not a huge fan of cussing, either), but as in he says whatever he's thinking at any given time and does some pretty random things, so if we're aiming for something romantic, then whoever his love interest is would half to be pretty tolerant.

If you're interested, I can give you a quick breakdown of his abilities and whatnot. Otherwise, I have a bunch of other characters I can use?

Could you give me the quick breakdown of his abilities?

(Sorry for the long time in between responses. Cat decided it was a good idea to go under my bed. Had to get her out lol.)

Of course!

Siren Song / Mind Control - Limited, since he's a half blood and his abilities are weakened by human DNA, but by spreading his venom (typically via a kiss or licking someone), he can temporarily control their actions and thoughts.

Enhanced Beauty - Pretty self explanatory.

Enhanced Senses - Not too enhanced, but noticeable compared to a regular human.

Claw Retraction - Pretty self explanatory.

Enhanced Reflexes - Makes him really good at parkour and martial arts and such.

Beauty Inducement - He can make others appear more beautiful to each individual person by reading what they (objectively) find attractive.

Sonic Scream - Black Canary style, but not fatal or anything.

Paralysis Inducement - Goes along with the whole venom thing.

Musical Spell Casting - Can mesmerize people via music. Not quite mind control, but pretty much can instantly get anyone to like him.

And no worries! I know the pain. We recently just got a kitten, and she loves getting into places she really shouldn't get in.

Just an fyi, my responses are probably going to be pretty erratic (as my username suggests), so if you'd prefer someone who can respond consistently and reliably, I'm probably not them. I tend to go to sleep pretty early, too (which, for me, would be in about a half hour/hour from now). I figured I should lay it out before we get too far in plotting.

Oh, and his major weakness is bronze which, in my adaptation, suppresses his abilities. I'm not sure if you've seen Supernatural or not, but the siren aspects of him are based pretty heavily on that, with a few liberties I took.

Ah, okay.
Me, I tend to stay up pretty late, am unreliable (Cat + shopping/ or whatever needs to be done) I can't be here on the weekdays until like 6:00 p.m. Central Time. Weekends I probably won't be on 'til 2-ish pm central time.

Just got bronze reply. No, I haven't watched Supernatural. None of my characters obsess over bronze.

Fair enough. I'm a senior in high school, so things can get incredibly hectic incredibly quickly. I'm Eastern time, so an hour ahead of you, and I don't get free time unless it's sixth period (creative writing class) every other weekday, or after school, which varies from 2:00pm to close to 4:30pm. Occasionally I'll pop in on weekends, but it really all comes down to my motivation and creativity, and I have volunteering at a library pretty much every Saturday from 2:00 to 4:00 pm ET. Plus, I'm going to a concert tomorrow after the library, and I'm not sure what time I'll get home.

And it's no problem—just thought I'd include it in case he seemed a bit overpowered, or you wanted to take an angsty plot route!

@TakeToTheStars

Well, you can look at my currently only public character. If he is a bit too much, I could tone him down a bit. He can't control any non-devil/demons, so he couldn't control your character. He can insta-teleport unless wounded. He is pretty much a human when wounded, a non-aging one granted, but an almost one nonetheless.

@TakeToTheStars

(Gah! Mobile is evil! It takes sooo long!)

He sounds great! And since he's a powerful being (presumably stronger than Quin), he wouldn't be able to control him with his venom unless he'd been wounded, since you said he'd be about as strong as a human. He'd probably find Quin captivating regardless, perhaps feeling a slight pull to him because of his siren genetics. That is, if we're planning on making this a romance?

(And I've been there, too. No need to worry, seriously! I'm just catching up on WebToons in between responses.)

@TakeToTheStars

Yeah, I want it to be romantic, just not… sex romance, if you get my drift.

Being demisexual, that works perfectly for me. Would you like to just wing it and start, or should we establish a setting/conflict/goal first?

group
@TakeToTheStars

Eh, let's just wing it. You first.

Alrighty, just give me a few minutes please. I'm typically not that great at coming up with starters, but I'll try my best!

Oh, okay.

It was just starting to get chilly out in the darkening streets. Not a see-your-puffs-of-breath-in-the-air chilly, but a don't-forget-a-jacket-or-you'll-be-sorry kind of chilly. Which is precisely why Quin found himself huddled in his most comfortable windbreaker, calmly sipping hot chocolate at a bench not far from a coffee shop. He was browsing through the comments of his latest upload, lips twitching into a smile at all the positive feedback. He was glad—he'd deviated from his typical routine for once, choosing a song more dear to his heart rather than whichever one had been most demanded by his subscribers. With a contented sigh he pocketed his phone, focusing on the few passerby that were still out at this time. One lady had hair almost as curly as his—almost. Her red locks were no match against Quin's tangled black strands, even if he considered them to be more of an annoyance than anything else. Still, he preferred them over short hair, which didn't have nearly enough dramatic flair for his liking. For now he put up with the mess the only way he knew how; by keeping it piled in a bun on the top of his head. He was, regrettably, pulled from his thoughts at the sight of another passerby, this time male. For some odd reason, the man stood out to him from the others—not that there were many others to look at. Most had headed home from work a few hours ago, leaving only a couple of stranglers here and there. Either way, something about the guy struck him as odd, and Quin intended to find out what. Finishing his hot chocolate, he tossed the empty disposable cup into a nearby garbage bin, then set off at a brisk walk to catch up to the man. "Good evening," he greeted, slipping over to his side and glancing up—always up, much to the chagrin of the shorter-than-average male—to examine the man's face.

(Sorry it took so long. I was having trouble with the varying sentence length, and though I'm not entirely pleased with how choppy it sounds towards the end, it's the best I can do for now. I also regret to inform you that I'll be heading to bed here soon, so I may not get to respond again tonight. I will, however, try and check this thread first thing in the morning. I hope you have a good night, whenever you go to sleep! If I do happen to rattle off another reply tonight, then this will apply after that.)

@TakeToTheStars

(Okay.)
"Good evening," greeted The High Devil. "And who might you be?" He mentally went through his list of sinful people he killed today; none seemed related to him. However, The High Devil learned that a person could come to him because he killed their friend. He got an odd feeling that the man, a bit of a handsome man, didn't come to try and kill him.
(Sorry for short reply. It's freaking evil, this tablet.)

(facepalm Forgot to put in the character sheet that The High Devil wears glasses.)

Quin waved his hand dismissively, albeit endearingly. "Just your run-of-the-mill, average citizen, here to fulfill his daily social quota," he replied cheerfully, not at all with a suspicious undertone. His smile was nothing but genuine, though, conveying his blatant curiosity. "The name's Quincey, but you can call me Quin," he added, jerking a thumb towards his chest in introduction. "What about you?"

(It's cool—I tend to write way too much, and plus, I have a laptop that works decently well.)

@TakeToTheStars

The High Devil gave a curious glance towards the man. "You've never heard of me before?" he asked. "I'm quite suprised, Quin. I believe I am quite well known." A thin blush appeared on his cheeks. "Not for the best of things, though." The High Devil didn't want to scare Quin off with his name if he didn't know it. "And isn't it a bit chilly to be out tonight?" The High Devil was half hoping the man would remember him and run away, while the other half wanted to talk to him more, figure out why he doesn't know The High Devil when anyone could spot him a mile away and purposefully walk away from him, like that lady did.

(Gtg renamed topic so no one thinks I still need someone to roleplay with. )

(Back, although I don't know if you're online quite yet.)

(Nah, sorry, yesterday was rough. I got dragged along to a concert that I wasn't particularly keen on going to, and although it wasn't necessarily bad, I was too emotionally drained afterwards to do anything but crash. I'll have my response posted in a few minutes, though!)

The half-siren tilted his head to the side, furrowing his eyebrows in confusion. "Should I know you?" There was a nagging sensation in the back of his mind that warned him not to mess with the guy, but he got those feelings all the time. As a hunter, he'd stopped fearing them a long time ago. Besides, 'Not for the best of things', could mean anything. Maybe he was a notorious tax evader. The attempted change in subject only intensified his curiosity, but he decided to play along for the time being. He didn't want the guy to become closed off when Quin still had as many questions as he did. "Yeah, it's pretty chilly," he agreed, refusing to look away from the man's face as he spoke. "Since, ya know, winter is coming," he added, doing his best impression of Sean Bean.

group
@TakeToTheStars

The High Devil was surprised that Quin kept eye contact. "Well…" He to a decent look at Quin. "Yes, winter is coming. I'm surprised that I have yet to see snow in this town when there is snow in other places I've been." He took a decent look at the now abandoned street, trying to think of a way to break it to Quin that, despite Quin's handsomeness, (Cracker The High Devil thought, I'm becoming like Lust.) he shouldn't really be with him. If Lust saw this…
"Um, to answer your question, yes, you should. I'm surprised that you don't. Could we, uh," The High Devil found a coffee shop nearby, just a little walk away. He pointed towards it, "go somewhere a bit less chilly?" It's not that the cold bothered him, but he knew that people (he wasn't assuming species; the guy didn't know The High Devil, so he might not be entirely human, if he was human at all. Oh, I hope it isn't one of Lust's demons trying to get me and her together!) tended to… freeze, for lack of a better word, when left in the cold for too long.

(It's okay that you had to crash after a concert. I have to be usher at a play in a little while, but I should still be able to roleplay. After that, supper and shower because the theater has a smell that likes to cling onto people.)
