(Astral's finally gonna start being nice to Simon again for real after he's a freaking plant)
Astral was careful as well, and he seemed to be enjoying himself. The path narrowed some as they continued, and the god looked down. After a moment, he pulled Simon up into his arms so they could continue easily.

Simon squeaked softly, clinging tightly onto the god so he wouldn’t fall. Like earlier, he didn’t seem to mind being carried.

Astral chuckled as Simon squeaked, making sure Simon still had a grip on his flower and Mia. He smiled, holding Simon to his chest as he continued down the path into the orchards.
((I mean he has had a lifelong mentality that he’s always the one doing something wrong, he’s just trying to fix things :’) ))
Simon smiled, resting his head against Astral’s chest while still looking around where he could.

Astral hummed softly as he carried Simon, looking around. The trees were the same size to Astral as most trees were to humans, which meant they were extra big to Simon.

“Woah…” he whispered, looking up at the canopy far above.

Astral was quite happy, looking up as well.
"Tall, aren't they?" He asked softly. "You should see the redwood… It's in the back." Astral almost said 'he,' but he doubted Simon was ready for that talk.

“Yeah I bet those are massive.” Simon laughed softly. Who knows, Simon might honestly find the whole thing really cool. But it probably wasn’t worth the risk.

Astral would wait until later, then. If Simon already knew about Mia, in some form, then it wouldn't be long. The god nodded, smiling.
"Would you like to see?"
He nodded. “That’d be nice….” he relaxed against Astral, beginning to feel a bit tired. Or maybe he just felt so relaxed being with Astral. He wasn’t sure.

Bit of both, perhaps. The gardens themselves were very calming and relaxing as well. Astral started to make his way through the trees, smiling while humming a soft tune as he went.
Simon let his eyes slide shut until they got there, listening to Astral’s humming.

Astral glanced down, smiling a bit.
"You awake?" He asked softly, Simon tucked into his arms.
“Mhm…you’re just really warm and comfy…” he mumbled.

Astral smiled some, hugging Simon closer for a moment.
"Well, I'm glad you think so!"
Simon smiled sleepily. He’d be content to stay in the god’s arms all day.

Well, Astral would be content to hold Simon all day, if he didn't have to work. He offered a smile in turn.
"Well, I take it you're too comfortable to try to look at the redwood, then?" The god chuckled some, looking up. It was right in front of them stretching what miles, not just a handful of hundreds of feet.
“N-no I can still look!” He insisted, quickly sitting up and opening his eyes. “Wow…it’s really really tall.” He laughed softly.

Astral nodded, holding back a chuckle as Simon sat up in his arms. He kept a good grip on the man, a smile on his lips.
"Yes, it is," Astral agreed. "It's been here for millennia, too." The god stepped forward, putting his hand against the bark. It was massive, looking more like a wall than a trunk.
“I bet..” he couldn’t even see the top of the tree from here. “That’s crazy.”

Astral smiled, looking down at Simon.
"Yes, it is," he agreed, hand going back to wrap around Simon's waist.
Simon smiled widely, looking up at the tree for a moment longer before nodding. “Okay I’m ready to go now.”

"Okay!" Astral shifted his hold on Simon once more, turning back down the path.
"I'll most likely have to head back to work soon…" The god still held Simon to his chest, though, arms around him to hold him close to the god's warmth.
“Oh okay….” he said, sounding a bit disappointed at that. He didn’t really want Astral to leave, but he knew the god had to work.
((If we wanna stick to the same sort of order as the other rp, should we have Simon’s ex start harassing him pretty soon?))

(Mhm! I'm figuring it might happen during the day this time? And perhaps Astral finishes work and comes out to hear Simon's phone going off and ask him what's wrong instead of going behind his back aha)
Astral didn't want to leave Simon either, but he didn't want the man to see just what his work was. He hummed softly, not letting go as he headed back to the main open paths of the garden.
"Would you like to leave you here, or somewhere else?" Astral wanted every excuse to keep with Simon.

“Ummmm maybe somewhere else. I don’t want to accidentally hurt any of the plants.” He said, resting his head on the god’s chest.

Astral nodded, holding Simon a bit closer. He found himself idly rubbing Simon's back with his thumb, walking out of the garden and back to the living room. Astral sat Simon down, smiling a bit.
"I'll be back out before dinner," he promised, turning to leave.
Simon nodded. “Okay….I’ll see you later then.” He said, sad to see the god go. He planned on just going back to Astral’s room, maybe take a nap.

Astral walked into his workroom, closing the door. He was quiet, thinking some as he went back to disassembling souls to recycle and repurpose.
(Also, I have another rp with someone else with Astral, and their character ended up doing something to help Astral out with his job- instead of just grinding the left over, often conscious, souls into paste, they'd use the parts to put them back together)
