“Wait, really?” Leo stood up straighter. “Are you serious?”

“Yepperoni,” She purred softly, looking down at her book again.

“I’ve been here a few days? I thought it was a few hours.” Leo rubbed his head. “Wow. You must have hit me hard.”

“Well, you were only out for about twelve hours. But you must’ve been asleep or something cus you rolled off the couch and cracked your head off of my floor. I had to clean it up with a pressure cleaner.”

Leo continued to rub his head. “I cracked my head on your floor?”

“Well, yes, my rug was out for cleaning right then.” She pointed to the very clean white fluffy carpet. “But when you fell, you fell directly on concrete. I was taking a shower, so I didn’t hear you fall.”

“Ah. Lovely.” What the fuck. “So, should I get my head checked out? Maybe get stitches, or something?” Christ, I can not afford stitches.

“Oh, no, you’ll be quite alright. I just poured some alcohol to make the bleeding stop, cut your hair a little and bandaged it right up.”

“You cut my hair?” Leo asked. His voice was now more incredulous than freaked-out. “Do you have a mirror I could use?”

Aadya rolled her eyes. “Yes. It’s up to your ears and parted from the right away from your wound. Don’t sound so ungrateful, King.”

Leo looked in the mirror, inspecting his hair. “It’s actually not . . . bad. It’s actually pretty okay. Just a little short.”

Aadya huffed. “If you wanna be a male fighter you should have shorter hair. Plus, I think it looks good on you.”

“Your hair is long,” Leo said, still playing with his hair in the mirror. He bit his lip as he inspected and ruffled it. Wait. He turned to look at Aadya, unknowingly still biting his lip. “Did you say it looks good?”

Aadya ran her fingers through her soft, silky hair. “The fans like it. It distracts them from staring at my chest the entire fight. And yes. I did.”

“Yeah, okay,” Leo said, trying not to sound awkward or like he was freaking out. Because he was not freaking out. Of course he wasn’t. He turned back to the mirror, giving his hair one last fluff, before walking closer to Aadya. “So, you think it looks good Krimosho? Or is that just pride talking since you cut it?”

Aadya glanced up at him, her eyebrows raised slightly. “I was saying it looks good on you. I know I did a good job because you’re not complaining about it.”

“Well it’s a bit shorter than I would normally like, but it’s actually not bad. Surprisingly good, I would say. Thank you Aadya.”

Aadya huffed at him through her nostrils. “You’re welcome. Now, you’re free to leave if you want, but I don’t suggest it.”

“Why?” Leo asked. His voice was quiet and his tone was flirty. “Want me to stay?” Leo said with a wink and a small smile.

Aadya chuckled softly and rolled her eyes, leaning back in her pillows. “You can do whatever you want,” She returned the flirt with a wink and a seductive tone.

“What if I want to stay?” Leo stepped closer until he was almost at the end of her bed. “What then?”

Aadya shut her book, leaning back in the bed just a bit more. “I don’t know,” She answered with a shadow of a wink.

“Would you say that you would generally enjoy that?” Leo asked, cocking his head to the side with pouty eyes.

Aadya tilted her head in the opposite direction. “I think I would enjoy the company.”

“I’m company,” Leo said, stepping forward. He was now at the end of her bed, his knees pressing against it. “You could enjoy me.”

Aadya let her gaze flit over him up and down. “I could, couldn’t I?” She didn’t seem to be too opposed to that.

Leo smiled. “You could.” He ran his hands through his hair. “You waiting for something?”

Aadya crossed her handd neatly on her tummy. “Are you?”

“Nope.” Leo walked around to where she was on the bed. He sat down next to her, so his head was facing her, but his knees were turned towards the room. He looked at her face. “You have pretty lips.”

Aadya smiled a little with her rather thin but smooth lips. “Thank you. You have very pretty eyes.”
