Lola smiled back, then checked the time again. "Shit, I gotta get to my locker and go to class. I have math first thing."

"Oh fun," Darcy said, their voice dripping with sarcasm. "I have . . . Spanish. Yeah."

@SaltyLasagna

"Ew. I hate Spanish. Especially with the new teacher. Good luck."
(sorry for not typing much, I'm lazy)

"Thanks. I'm gonna need it."
(nah, it's chill I get it. Do you wanna maybe skip to a really boring class that they have together? Maybe with a sub? I have some ideas about how Darcy could be "flirty")

@SaltyLasagna

(sure lol)

(Maybe like Darcy’s already in the room and Lola comes in and says something about how how boring the class will be cause there’s a sub?? Idk up to you)

@SaltyLasagna

(okay sure lol)
Lola sighed. She was on her way to the last class of the day- physics. When she walked in, she saw a few people in the room, and a sub frantically shuffling through papers at the teacher's desk. She groaned and took a seat next to Darcy. "This is going to be boring as hell," she complained, quiet enough so the sub couldn't hear.

She groaned and took a seat next to Darcy. "This is going to be boring as hell," she complained, quiet enough so the sub couldn't hear.

"No, no." Darcy leaned back in their chair and put their feet up on the desk. They grabbed a pen from behind their ear and pointed it at the sub. "Look at that sub. They don't know anything about physics except that one class they took in high school. We're not gonna do shit in this class, it'll be great." They grinned at Lola.

@SaltyLasagna

"True, but what if the sub is strict and makes us do physics work from some bullshit they printed out online?" Lola suggested, still a bit suspicious.

"Like Ms. Rivera is actually gonna check if we did it," Darcy said, turning their head to look at Lola. "And besides, that sub has no backbone, I can tell."

@SaltyLasagna

Lola glanced at the frantic substitute once again. "You have a point," she said, chuckling a bit. "So what do we do while we wait for class to be over?"

group
@Moxie group

"Just hang out, I guess," Darcy said, fiddling with the pen in their hands. They looked up at Lola. "Here, give me your hand."

@SaltyLasagna

Lola felt her face heat up a bit, but offered her hand without hesitating. "What are you gonna do?"

Instead of answering, Darcy uncapped the pen with their teeth and started drawing on the back of Lola's hand. The drawing sort of looked like a short, upsidedown broom. The base had a half circle around it and the "bristles" had dots around them.

@SaltyLasagna

"What is that?" She asked, confused and trying really hard to keep her hand still, but her fingers twitched a bit.

@Moxie group

“Does it matter?” Darcy asked, still drawing.

@SaltyLasagna

"A little. I'm curious," she said, frowning as she tried to figure out what it was.

“I’m finding out,” Darcy said. They wrote ’ars longa vita brevis’ on Lola’s hand, the litters circling the drawing. “Or, in this case ars brevis vita longa I suppose.”
