"Look, Miss," Alex started, "I can tell your brother has already told you but I'm not gonna hurt you, demon's honor," He drew an X over his heart before raising his hands in surrender.

Beau nodded. Demon's honor… pfft, that sound pretty dumb. He laughed almost inaudibly to himself at the though. He put his arm around Trinity's shoulder.
Alex sent Beau an almost knowing look. He himself knew it was stupid but he said it anyway.

Trinity jumped in surprise and quickly clung to Beau's arm.
Beau jumped as well, pulling Trinity closer to himself. “Alex, I think someone wants to see you.”
Alex rolled his eyes and placed his cup on the table. He stood and headed to the door and opened it, smiling, “Amelia! What a pleasure.”
