"Well, then you should have specified." She replied coming to a stop in front of the large building. She was breathing heavily, her eye's were bright from the exercise.
"I do believe my good sir, that you owe me a Snow cone." She commented as Calum caught up.
"Isn't it... cliche, to fall in love?" (OxO)(Closed)
Stopping in front of her, he half bent over trying to regain his breath. After a minute or so, he lifted his head and nodded.
"Y-yeah… I definitely should have specified." Calum laughed weakly, standing up to his full height with a little smile. "You won… though I wouldn't say fair and square. But you still won. Just tell me when you want a snow-cone."
"I will." She said with a smirk.
She looked around at the other Campers slowly streaming into the building,
"Shall we join them?"
Taking in a deep breath, he nodded a little. "We shall. After you, m'lady."
Calum hummed a little, offering Cassidy a hand with a smile.
"Or we can head in together. Your choice."
Cassidy glanced at his hand, then took it with a smile, "Two is better then one, or so I've heard." She commented as they walked towards the entrance.
"That's very true. Especially when you're about to get in trouble." Calum hummed, chuckling a little bit. "When your mom is mad at you, because you did something bad, but she can't punish you with your friend around. It gives more time to ease the immediate anger…"
The way he spoke, it sounded like a familiar scene for him. Though he really wasn't a bad kid. Just a little mischievous at times.
Cassidy laughed with him, "I can't say that is a scene I'm familiar with," She replied glancing up at him, "As the Only child I can do no wrong. You one the other hand," She trailed off for dramatic effect grinning, " Don't seem to hold that privilege."
"Why, weren't you the one who just cheated?" Calum hummed, smirking a little. "I think little miss perfect has a rebellious side. She just needed the 'bad boy' to pull it out of her."
He was totally teasing, as he reached the door, he pushed it open for her. "I mean, you've got two months to get all the mischief out."
Cassidy walked through the door giving him a nod of thanks, "Me? Mischievous? What ever gave you that idea?" She replied grinning,
"It must be the influence of the poor company I'm keeping."
"Aww, must be. Maybe your father should have sent you to a more high-class camp. Something where you're not stuck with the likes of me." Calum hummed, smirking a little.
"Then again, a little trouble never hurt anyone."
"Perhaps he should have," She replied, " A little trouble can easily become quite a lot of trouble."
She smiled then added, "However I do not think this self proclaimed 'bad boy' Is all that bad."
She paused in her walking for a moment to look him in the eye as she said this, painfully aware of the height difference between them.
Fumbling to a stop, Calum smiled down at her. "You don't? Why ever not?" He asked in a dramatic tone, still smiling.
Standing there, he crossed his arms over his chest. He seemed to be expecting an answer, or waiting for her to continue walking.
"Do I not fit your typical description? Or do you know me from our ten minutes together?"
Cassidy smirked with one Eyebrow raised.
"All of thee above my good sir, All of thee Above." She paused there for a moment her eye's betraying her playful nature.
"You were far to concerned for both mine and your well being earlier." She commented as she resumed walking.
Calum laughed a little, dropping his gaze to his feet.
"Which is funny, because I'm a skater." He hummed, only glancing up at her for a moment.
Pausing for a moment, he added on to his previous statement. "But then again, I wear all kinds of 'safety equipment' when I go out on my skateboard."
"Really?" Cassidy asked, genuinely curious.
"I'm Afraid I lack the coordination for it." Cassidy glanced around the filling room briefly before returning her attention to Calum.
"I could try to teach you. It shouldn't be too hard." Calum said, seeming a little too confident in that fact.
His smile stayed, and he led her up to the line to get food. "But not until tomorrow, at least. It's already dark, and it's kind of stupid to skate in the dark. It's also still packed away, with my stuff."
"Yes, Dark, It's stupid to do anything in the dark." She replied almost too quickly. She was quite enjoying Calum's company. She had been worried when her Father first suggested camp that she would be unable to find friends here, yet here he was.
"Wait. Are Skateboards even allowed here?" She questioned.
When she replied, he noted her nervous state. Whatever that was about, time would reveal.
"Well, they are now." Calum hummed with a little smile. "If they take it from me, I'll just have to make sure to get it back before we leave. But I seriously doubt they will. I'm a careful skater."
"Careful or not rules are rules." She replied smiling.
"And to think you had me convinced of your goodness, I must retract the earlier statement of you not being a 'bad boy'." She said this dramatically with a sigh,
"Aww, that is very true." Calum hummed a little, chuckling lightly.
"But I'm not the one who told you I was good. You must have convinced yourself of that. Considering I was a self-proclaimed bad boy." He insisted, a smirk pulling up just a little.
Cassidy punch him playfully on the shoulder.
"I'll be sure to reserve my judgments in the future." She replied with a grin.
"Have you met your Cabin mates yet?" She asked.
Calum chuckled lightly, trying not to wince when she punched him in the arm. She had better strength than he had thought.
"No, not yet." He hummed lightly. "I wasn't quite in the mood to be around people when I first got here. I didn't want to snap at them or anything. So I haven't talked to them yet."
(I'm not sure how to reply.Shall we time skip through dinner when they are returning to their cabins?)
(Works for me! Apologies for not being around.)
(No worries, Shall I start that or will you)
(Would you mind?)
(Not at all)
Cassidy found her self walking closer to Calum as they went further down the path to the Cabins. Now that the sun was down it was not only dark but quite cold, she found her self shivering slightly.
Come on Casey, your fine
"So, Looks like there will be no avoiding Cabin mates any more, Eep!" Cassidy jumped at a slight rustling in the trees, involuntarily gabbing Calum's arm. She let go quickly, mumbling an apology.
Calum nodded a little, watching her warily. Cassidy seemed do nervous to him, and looked kind of chilled. Without much more thought, he put a gentle arm around her.
"You don't need to apologize. It's fine, Cassidy." He told her in a soft tone, leading her to her cabin.
"But yeah. They're probably going to be annoyed that I ignored them for so long. I'm sure they'll get over it, though. As long as I'm nice now." He hummed a little, glancing down at her. "Maybe your sweetness will rub off on me."
Cassidy was grateful for the extra warmth and leaned into him lightly, "Well If you're nice that will definitely go against your 'bad boy' persona," She remarked, "Unless you have an ulterior motive, so it looks like you'll have to think of one."
Cassidy glanced down at her feet as they walked, "Sorry for being so jumpy, the Dark and I don't really get along."
"You know I'm not actually a 'bad boy', right? I was just joking." Calum hummed softly, noting she was leaning in. It didn't bug him in the slightest, he actually kind of liked it.
"And don't apologize about that. I understand, for real. I feel the same way about other things." He admitted with a light shrug. "I'm not going to blame you for being afraid of something. Whether it's rational or irrational."
