I was thinking something along the lines of two fantasy guys(yknow like an elf or somethin) going on a cool adventure with a bit of slowburn romance. I'm open to suggestions as I don't really have much of an idea, I just want to roleplay. So please if you're interested, respond or dm me. :)
Just a gay fantasy rp, what can I say? (Closed)
May I?
yes absolutely, do you happen to have any plot ideas?
Hmmmmmmmm maybe one is cursed by an evil being and they have to find the cure?
oooh i like that, do you want your character to be the cursed one?
(also I apologize to cut our planning short but my head hurts and its quite late where I'm at, so I'm off to bed. If you have a character template or any other planning stuff you want to post, please go ahead. If not, that's fine I can post a template tomorrow and figure out more of the plot/relationship stuff)
(No it's good! I passed out too lol.)
(lmao, alright! I'll go ahead and put a template up and then we can work out more from there!)

(Okie dokie! And do you want to be the cursed? Or should I be the cursed?)
(do you mind being the cursed?)
(Sure, of you'd like me to be!)
(awesome thanks! I'll get my character up in 30 minutes or so!)
(Sounds good! I'm currently in the middle of something, so I'll post him soon.)
Name: Calin Blumenthal
Nickname: Cal
Age(20-24?): 22
Gender/Pronouns: Male, he/him
Sexuality: Pansexual
Race: Elf
Powers(if any): His arms from the elbows down can either turn into vines or sprout vines from them, the vines can only grow up to 30 ft. If they're chopped off, it won't chop his actual arms or hands off but it does create cuts on his arms.
Personality: He's quite flirtatious and he flirts with most people he meets that are his age, he typically uses this as a way to haggle prices; despite his flirtatiousness, he's incredibly respectful and he won't hesitate to stand up for or save someone who is in need; confident but gets a bit flustered when people flirt back to him with confidence; kind of childish; loves to have fun and adventure; when he's nervous or upset his vines grow in small tendrils and wrap around his arms
Appearance: 5'11; lightly tanned skin; square and slightly muscular build; pointed ears; bright leaf green eyes; chestnut brown hair that's short, messy, swept to the right, and a bit spiky; his arms from the elbow down(including his hands) are scarred because of his vines(no self harm here :)); has got an amazing smile
Attire: the tunic is a mixture of this and this; dark brown trousers; the sash/belt type thing is the same from the second image but it's more of a dull golden color; tall brown leather boots with a dagger tucked into the left one; brown leather gloves that go to his elbows
Likes: Flowers, children, boba tea, adventure, Latin
Dislikes: Pineapple, his parents
Other: Gets distracted pretty easily due to his ADHD
Here's Calin! Took longer to put up than I thought because I showered but he's here now!
Name: Oliver (He doesn't know his last name)
Nickname: Oli, cursed one
Age(20-24?): 23
Gender/Pronouns: Male, he/him
Sexuality: Bisexual
Race: Human with magic blood.
Powers(if any): He has powers connecting to nature, however, with the magic he uses, his curse makes him weaker.
Personality: Oliver is sweet and patient. He's really just a gentle giant with a knack of drawing trouble. He really means well and he doesn't want to hurt anyone. He's scared of losing control of his magic. He tends to be a bit withdrawn and anxious at times. He doesn't like being around people.
Appearance: This boy… he THICC. Like- He BEEFY. He a bicc boi. He has tanned skin, which is more of an almond color. He has dark brown hair that he hasn't cut in ages, but he probably should. It curls past his shoulders slightly. He has bright blue eyes, they're like the color of the sky. He has a bunch of scars all over his body. He reaches at about 6'9 (ehe nice. God I have the mind of a 12 year old) and is very strong.
Attire: He tends to wear big cloaks and usually just wears pants because the last time he tried wearing… well multiple shirts, they ripped.
Likes: He loves the quiet, oranges, sleeping, and flower crowns
Dislikes: Loud people.
Other: He has a small cat named Lotus because of the white pattern on its chest.
(I love him!)
Okay now that we have our characters, let's talk plot and relationship.
Do they already know each other?
If not, where and when should they meet?
I was thinking of this to be a somewhat long rp with a slowburn romance so I really liked your original idea one of them being cursed. That being said, how did your character get his curse and do you have an end location/enemy in mind for whenever we get to the end of this? If not, that's totally alright, I'm fine with figuring it out as we go.
I don't really have anymore plot/relationship questions, but if you do, please ask them.
Hmm. I feel like they should be familiar with each other. Or. If we wanted them to just barely meet, maybe Calin is injured and Ollie helps him.
Oliver was cursed when he was a baby. There is an enemy (I've used him before) it's a sorcerer that placed the curse on him.
Okay, how about they haven't met before and Cal was just out in a forest next to some town or whatever and some ground crumbles beneath him when he's standing on a cliff and just falls into a deeper part of the forest. This deeper part of the forest can have some kind of path running through it and Oliver can be on his way to the next town over or something like that? If you have anything to add onto this or change, go ahead.
Yeah, that works!
Awesome! Would you like to start or do you want me to?
Could you please? And sorry for the inactivity last weekend. I was really busy.
Yeah, I’ll get a starter up! It may take awhile but I’ll try to get one up today or tomorrow.
I have exams this week so I won’t be super active.
No worries!
(Ahhhh, finally done with exams)
Tangled forest is thick and overgrown, not many people explored it and there was really only one solid path leading through it. Curious people got lost from time to time and it happens to be one of those occasions. Calin enjoys adventure so of course he would go off of the path. He's usually quite with directions so how he got lost is a mystery to him. "Come on, come on…" He muttered to himself, "Where's that path?" He continued walking and looking around aimlessly until he came across a cliff. Calin carefully peered over the cliff and into the lower parts of the forest below, "I had no idea I was up so high." he thought to himself. He studied the cliff a moment longer, noticing that it was incredibly smooth and that it was impossible to cling onto. He clicked his tongue and shifted his footing, getting ready to try and make his way down on a safer route. Of course, this is where everything went wrong. The bit of rock that Calin was standing on, crumbled beneath him and he began to fall. Ignoring what he had realized a moment before, he unleashed vines from his arms and trying grabbing onto the side of the cliff. The vines bounced off without grabbing on and Calin continued to fall. He fell through some trees which lightened his fall just a tiny bit and hit the ground with a thud. He laid on the ground, dazed and groaned in pain.
It had been a pretty normal day for Oliver. He had taken care of his home, cleaned it up a little bit. He had tended to his garden, making sure that his flowers, fruits, and veggies were growing well. His life had become routine now. In the early mornings, he'd let Lotus out to explore the forest while he went and took care of the garden. He'd then tend to the chickens, gather eggs and harvest ripe fruits or veggies and head back into the house to make breakfast. Then he'd clean, gather supplies if he was low, and let Lotus back inside the house. He'd often wander the forest, making sure that everything was peaceful as it can be before heading back out. But today- today had to be different, didn't it? An elf in his forest. He sighed deeply, his eyes glancing around before he moved closer to the elf. He was always hesitant, most called him a monster whenever they saw him. He didn't normally like strangers, and not to mention, he was really tall and strong- so a lot of people avoided him… and if you knew about his curse… He sighed deeply and made it to where the person was. It looked like they were in and out of consciousness. "Hello?" His voice was deep and a bit scratchy. He hadn't talked to a person in a while, unless Lotus counts as someone to talk to.
Calin flinched in pain as he slowly sat up, trying to get a good look at who had spoken. It was a human, a very strong and tall looking human. "Gah! This guy looks like he could snap me like a twig!" He was lost in thought for a few seconds before snapping out of it and responding, "Hello…sorry to um, drop in," He chuckled. He tried to stand up but his vision went black and his body protested in pain so he dropped back to his knees.
He glanced down at the elf in front of him. He was very small looking. He gazed at the other for a minute, his eyes travelling over the other to make sure he was okay. He glanced up at the cliff above them. "That's a high drop, are you-" he started a little when the other tried to stand, and lunged to gently catch him before he hit his head on a tree or something. He didn't know what to do at this point, his cloak whispering against the grass and leaves. He tried to think. His home wasn't too far, but he didn't like having strangers in his home… but at the same time this person was hurt. He could try and help but he didn't know how.
Calin breathed deeply trying to relax his body and shake away the new feeling of lightheadedness. He looked back at the human, whose arms he was now in and smiled reassuringly, "I'm fine I-" He glanced up at the height of the cliff and paled slightly before continuing, "-just took a bit of a tumble, that's all." A thought suddenly dawned on him, where was he? He had thought that coming down from the cliff would lead back to the path but the forest seemed just as thick as before.
