Cat shrugged. “That would be nice but you don’t have too. I know some people who’ll be there,” she said. That might also be why she doesn’t want them there but also why she does.

"Okay," Lot nodded as they kept walking. They took a deep breath in and out realizing that if they went they might have to meet Cat's 'family' and they weren't sure if they were ready for that, "Let me know if you do okay?"
Cat nodded. They started getting closer to their house. She didn’t let go of Lots hand the whole time.
Lot walked up and opened the door. They glanced inside not finding their parents home, again. It was fine. They pulled Cat inside.
“I don’t think I’ve seen your parents yet,” she commented tilting her head. She found it slightly weird since she slept over and everything but she tried not to show it.
“Yeah, work keeps them out of the house a lot,” Lot responded not really minding they weren’t home. This was just part of their life, “At least we don’t move around like we used to.”
Cat nodded. “Yeah I get that,” she said her concern drifting slightly. “So it’s just you and your sister most of the time?” She asked sitting on the couch.
"Yep," Lot responded sitting next to Cat. They let out a sigh as they relaxed against the couch, "But whenever they are home they tend to either be asleep or making the most of it."
Cat nodded. “That’s good,” she said not sure what else she could say. “At least that probably means I can do this.” She said before kissing them slowly on the cheek.
Lot hummed and let Cat kiss their cheek. They had a soft smile on and kissed Cat's cheek back once she could.
Cat smiled and leaned on Lot slightly. “So what should we do now?” She asked.
"Mmm we could just sit and watch TV?" Lot suggested leaning into Cat.
“That sounds nice,” she said cuddling into them. Her head on Lots shoulder.
Lot didn't stop them and reached for the remote turning it on, "It does."
Cat smiled and looked at the Tv. She wrapped an arm around Lot.
Lot leaned into Cat as they wrapped an arm around Cat. They flipped through a few channels before finally settling on one.
Cat watched it. “Ooh I like this show,” she said relaxing into Lot.
Lot smiled as they looked to Cat, "I do too, that's good, right?"
Cat nodded. “Yeah that’s good,” she said holding Lot closer.
Lot moved closer to Cat and leaned on her shoulder, "Good. Really good."
Cat nodded smiling. She brought a hand up to play with Lots hair.
Lot began to purr just slightly at the movement in her hair. It was more a sound of content than anything else.
Cat smiled and playing with a strand again. “I like playing with your hair,” she whispered getting distracting from the show. “It’s soft.”
Lot purred a little more and looked up to Cat, "I never noticed, but thank you."
Cat just hummed and nodded. She kissed their cheek and then looked at the tv.
Lot snuggled up against her letting themselves just relax. No pressure to do anything or be anywhere.
Cat looked at the tv relaxing as well. when she usually had trouble sitting still for that long but it looked like that trouble faded when she was with Lot.
Lotus reached for Cat’s hand and started to play with her fingers. Just mindless activity to help them stay relaxed.
Cat smiled and watched the tv. She continued to play with their hair.
Lot continued to play with Cat's hand. They turned their focus back to the TV.
