Raz nudged Jay's head affectionately and sighed "I mean I can't blame her for trying to flirt, you are extremely attractive." He smirked and pressed a kiss to his jawline, "I just wanted to drop by to make sure I didn't break her self esteem or anything."
Kinda want a demon and human ship so...help?
"If that was enough to break her, she's got other issues. I mean, you didn't say anything to insult her, did you?"
"I don't think I did, it's all kinda in a haze if red so I don't really know. Plus she kinda started it so I'm sure I'm justifying some insult." He shrugged helplessly, "I just want to make sure I didn't hurt her. She seemed really nice up until she made a move towards you."
"Raz, you don't have to justify anything. You have a great sense of justice so I'm sure anything you said was deserved."
Raz sighed softly and nodded slowly "alright, you're right. Guess it's just something I'll have to shake off." He offered a small smile "you aren't gazed by stuff like that? Where people try and flirt with you? I mean I guess it kinda da comes with the job but still, you don't find it hard not to ignoring sometimes?"
"Oh no, I definitely do. I just don't let it show or I just ignore it. It gets tough but you learn to deal with it."
"then we'll call that a learning experience." Raz reasoned, setting aside his drawing for now and curling up against Jay.
Jay held Raz close, kissing the top of his head. "Don't let it psyche you out, it's fine."
"too late, I'm kinda already psyched out." He huffed a small sigh "you're much better at hiding it than I am." He chuckled lightly resting against Jay, lightly tracing the now fading bruises on his neck
"What can I say, I've had a few more years to practice than you have. But don't worry about it, really."
"hm very true." Raz nodded and pressed a kiss to Jay's skin. "All I've had is a coffee addict, and God knows that hyper marshmallow knowns nothing about control." He laughed and glanced over at the open balcony
"Well, do you want to stay here for the day? Or will I have the delight in actually getting to swim with you?"
"a delight? Darling, i looking like a poor cat who's been thrown into a pool." He chuckled lightly and sat up "but sure, we definately can go for a swim, the water is gorgeous."
"Okay good! I haven't actually been swimming in forever, this'll be nice."
"when was the last time you went swimming?" Raz asked, bouncing off the bed to find clothes to change into
"I don't even remember. And whenever it was, it won't be nearly as fun as it will be with you."
"that is if I don't drown first." Raz joked, slipping onto the bathroom to change into the swim trunks he had found and a loose button down shirt
"Hey, even if you do drown, it's not like you'll go anywhere. You're stuck with my love, your soul ain't going nowhere."
"while I'd be be happy to start our eternity together, I also want to enjoy this life we have together to the fullest." He replied, emerging from the bathroom clothed and ready for the beach. "I'd also rather not die on our honeymoon."
"Yes, that would be unfortunate." Jay laughed before he snapped, changed into more reasonable beach clothes. "So let's try to avoid that, shall we?"
Raz smiled with a nod and pressed a kiss to Jay's cheek. "The water can't be that deep, we should be fine." He reassured, taking his husband's hand andgently tugging him up from the bed
Jay let Raz pull him, looking out over the balcony before leading Raz out of the room towards the beach.
"i know we saw this yesterday but it's still breathtaking Everytime." He murmured softly as they reached the beach. He stood by the shore, not completely in the water but not entirely on the dry sand either.
"Well come on, we don't have all day!" Jay laughed as he pulled Raz further into the water.
Raz laughed and splashed into the water, glad that at least it wasn't that deep. Raz looked up at his husband, his smile and pure joy of just being in the water infectious
Jay splashed around a little bit, stepping out a little further into the water.
Raz hung back a little as Jay went off into the deeper ends of the shore. It wasn't that he couldn't swim, he just wanted that to be a last resort. Not feeling ground beneath him had always set him on edge. He crouched down, letting the water lap over his shoulder and calm him.
Jay walked out until the water was waist high, just watching the waves come in and out with a pleasant half smile on his face.
Raz bobbed around in the shallower end before stand and venturing out towards Jay, the water reaching up around his lower abdomen, slightly higher than where it reached Jay. "It's stunning." He murmured softly, the gentle lap of the water and it tugged and relaxed easing Raz's nerves from earlier
Jay took his hand, pulling Raz close and wrapping his arm around his shoulders. "Not as stunning as you."
