Sure! When a singular corpse being studied at an academic lab was raised, the country celebrated, declaring they had found a way to cheat death, which worked for a time, thousands of recently-dead bodies were treated, being raised up. Then, a week after the first corpse was raised, it turned feral, attacking anyone who came near. The country attempted to contain all those who had been treated, but not until several people had been bitten by the creatures. The change in those people happened faster, and soon half the country were these creatures, which almost perfectly resembled the zombies in older horror movies. Walls were built, large scale attacks were sent, but the zombies seemed to be able to heal from almost anything, although very, very slowly. Humanity gathered war veterans to fight against the creatures, never finding any humanity left in them. Until Zelda stumbled into the middle of a battleground, trying to find anything, anyone. She was newer, she couldn't figure out what the sounds were, she couldn't remember who she was, or where, or what had happened, or anything, really. Except how to move, breathe, and eat. And damn, was she hungry. She needed food, and she hoped anyone she found would have some. So she stumbled into a warzone.
