Veronica shrugged, dumping her bag by the end of the bed, “On the floor is fine I guess. Gives us more space to work.”
Lesbian modern Cinderella O/O
Cat nodded. “Ok. Do you have a poster board by the way?” She asked putting her own bag down.
“Yeah I picked one up after school yesterday.” She replied, heading over to where all her art supplies and easel was. Hs pulled out a light purple piece of card and brought it over.
“Nice. We can work with this. So I did some research. What kind of layout should we do?” She asked sitting down on the floor.
Veronica shrugged, joining her on the floor, we could do the individual analysis of the one poem on one side, do the same on the other and then the comparison in the middle?" She suggested.
“That would work,” she said looking down at the board. She then looked back at Veronica. She wasn’t sure what to say but she felt inclined to get to know her a bit.
Veronica was looking down at her laptop and didn't notice Ava looking at her. She was to focused on the writing she was doing.
Ava pulled out her own laptop. She kept looking over at Veronica. She typed up something.
Eventually, Veronica noticed her looking, "So, you curious about me, then?"
"What do you mean?" She asked looking away from her. She kept her eyes on the laptop.
“I can see you looking at me,” She replied, “I’m not blind.”
Ava shrugged. “Doesn’t mean I’m curious,” she said shifting in her seat.
"Hmm okay then," She looked to her own computer, "Well feel free to ask any questions I guess."
Ava nodded. “Yeah well do you want to type up a draft of what we’re going to write or just write it?” She asked changing the subjects.
"I don't mind. If we type up a draft then we can swap and edit each others and go back to see what we need to improve on." She shrugged.
“Ok draft it is,” she said typing. Her phone rang and she pulled it out. She typed a text but then she got a call. “Mind if I step out?” She asked looking slightly aggravated but she tried to smile.
"Yeah, sure, go ahead." Veronica smiled at her, turning back to her laptop a few moments later to hopefully knock out the draft.
Ava answered the call and left the room. A few moments went by and she still hasn’t come out. Only mumbling could be heard from behind the door.
Veronica knew she shouldn't eavesdrop. But she was curious as to why Ava had been gone for a while. She stood, walking towards the door to listen.
"I'm not scheduled to work until late tonight. I'm cleaning up after the party," She said just loud enough for Veronica to hear. there was a gap between her speaking. The person on the other side was talking so loud the mumbled sound could be heard through the door. "I'm sorry Ma'am. I can come in in an hour if that's ok." She sounded almost hurt. "Yes, I'll see you tonight." She hung up and turned to open the door.
Veronica quickly rushed back to her desk, making it look like she had been searching for a pen or some coloured markers. Luckily, she didn't seem suspicious.
Ava came into the room shoving her phone in her pocket. She looked a little mad but other than that she tried to stay the same as before. A small smile finding a way to her face again. She sat back down.
Veronica looked over her shoulder, grabbing some highlighters she'd found, "Everything okay?"
“Yeah but I have to leave earlier than I thought. I only have like an hour,” she said looking up at her and smiling. “But that should be enough time.”
She smiled back and nodded, “Should be plenty of time.” She agreed, heading back over and taking a seat.
Ava nodded. “Yeah hopefully it is,” she said. She crossed her legs and looked back at her laptop. She typed.
(Bump?)
