She got her food and found a table to sit at out of the thousands there, waiting for Lizzie patiently.
Lizzie quickly got some food, nothing too fancy, and then went to go sit with Rose. She sat down across from her.
"So, what are you looking forward to? Classes wise?" she asked, taking a sip of the water she grabbed.
“Good question. Let me think…..” she tilted her head to the side, “I’d have to say that what I’m most looking forward to is History. Sounds boring, but it’s interesting comparing society’s version of history to what really happened.”

"You have a point" she replied, watching a few other girls walk into the dining hall. They were on the other side and seemed harmless enough, so she just continued the conversation. "History is like, I don't know, it's just interesting!" she exclaimed, trying not to be too loud.
“I’m glad we have that in common” she replied with a small chuckle. She tilted her head, slight concern entering her gaze. “You know you shouldn’t worry about what other people think of you, right?”

"That's easy for you to say" she laughed nervously, shifting in her seat while she spoke.
“Rose…” she drifted off, she didn’t know what to say. While it may appear like Lizzie doesn’t care about society, she’s really just been in over protective survival mode for years. Now, she wanted to protect Rose.
"Hm?" she asked, fixing her gaze on hers again. "I just don't have that much self-confidence" she muttered, sticking a piece of lettuce with her fork.
“Don’t know why, you’re literally the most amazing person ever to exist” Lizzie muttered before swallowing a spoonful of soup.
" I don't think so. I think she most amazing person that exists is the woman I am looking at right now" she replied, trying reverse flattery to drive the attention away from her
“Debatable” she replied, a fleeting smile appearing on her lips. “You’re trying to change the subject aren’t you….”
"What?" she asked, putting her hand off her chest in mock disbelief. "You think that little of me?" she asked, her tone dramatic.
Lizzie laughed, lightly kicking her in the shin under the table. “You know that’s not what I meant. I’d never infringe on your honor m’lady!” She added on dramatically.
She smiled brightly, letting her hand fall to her lap as she ate the lettuce on her fork.
Lizzie smiled back at her and continued to eat her meal. Hopefully they finished before it got too dark out.

((I honestly don’t know. Maybe have some sort of unpleasant encounter while walking home. Or we could just skip to the start of classes or back to the dorm.

Today was the day, she thought as she slipped on her uniform. She hoped people liked her, but not too much.
Lizzie was also busy getting ready, her humming interrupted by a yawn every couple of minutes. She was currently buttoning up her shirt, the last thing she had to do to get ready.
Rose brushed her hair up into a neat bun, fixing the flyaway so with some hair spray, "you nervous?" She asked as she turned to face Lizzie
Lizzie just shrugged, pausing what she was doing for a second. She buttoned the shirt up the rest of the way, tucking her emerald pendant under it.
"You look gorgeous" she hummed, walking over to her and slipping her hands onto her waist.
