Bryn snickered and leaned up for a kiss. "Never. You just have to accept the fact that you're completely adorable."

"I'll admit I'm not completely ugly, but adorable seems a bit of a stretch." He grinned though, kissing Bryn.
"Beauty is in the eyes of the beholder, Sebastian." Bryn kissed him back, slowly tangling his hands in his human's hair. "And I think you're very beautiful."
group
Sebastian blushed faintly.
"Well, Bryn," He said, smiling, "It seems I can't argue that point. Touché." He chuckled.
Bryn gave him a sharp smile when he blushed, pleased that he'd managed to fluster his human with a few well-deserved compliments. He leaned up against Sebastian with a self-satisfied hum. "Good!"
group
Sebastian gave a bright smile, holding Bryn close. After a few minutes, though, he begrudgingly looked up at the clock.
"We, we should get ready to go," he said, hating it. Why couldn't he just stay like this all day with Bryn?
Bryn sighed, pressing closer to Sebastian with a quiet whine. "Do we have to?"
group
"I wish we didn't," he said, holding Bryn still. He didn't want to let go just yet.
"But we have to."
Bryn leaned into him with another whine, kissing slowly up Sebastian's jaw in a bid to distract him. "C'mon sweetheart, just stay with me for a little longer. Lemme love on you."
group
Sebastian leaned into Bryn's kisses, letting himself be distracted for a moment.
"As tempting as it is," he said slowly, finally pulling away, "We really do have to get ready."
Bryn whined wrapping his arms around Sebastian's neck with a pout. "Can't we just stay here for a little while? I don't want to… to be collared again. I don't wanna have to stop touching you."
group
Sebastian went right back to holding Bryn, one hand on his head and one around his back.
"I don't want that either," Sebastian said, "But we can't stay here forever." He sat up, pulling Bryn up with him.
Bryn slipped into his lap immediately, wrapping his legs around Sebastian's waist and curling up against the boy's chest. He let out a mournful sigh. "I wish we could," he murmured, face buried in Sebastian's neck. "I don't wanna have to face the world yet."
group
"I know," Sebastian said gently, "but if we wait until we are, we'll never leave this room." He kissed Bryn's head.
"So we just have to get through it, alright?"
Bryn sighed and tilted his head up so Sebastian caught him on the lips, pulling away a few seconds later. "Yeah. I… I get it. Let's get all dolled up for your friend."
group
Sebastian hugged Bryn one more time before letting go of him, moving to stand up. He pulled a shirt on, looking to Bryn for approval of his outfit.
Bryn scrunched up his nose. "Nah, go for a less wrinkled one," he suggested, stepping into the green romper Sebastian had seemed to like earlier. He groped around the other boxes when he was done, finally landing on the tiny black box that held his new collar and leash. "You'll look more formal."
group
Sebastian looked down at his shirt, chuckling.
"You're right," he said, pulling it off and putting a new shirt on. He turned, smiling at Bryn. Then, he saw the box he was holding, and the smile faltered.
"You ready?" He asked gently.
Bryn looked down at it with a strange mix of dread and determination. He didn't dare crack open the lid to peek even though he knew the damn thing was harmless, just bit his lip nervously and handed it over to Sebastian with a shaky breath. "Yeah. Could you…?"
group
"Of course." He kissed Bryn's cheek lightly. Then, he pulled away, opening the box. The collar and leash sat there neatly, a little ribbon holding them together and in place. Sebastian untied them, lifting the collar out. It felt much softer than the dog collar they had been forced to use, out it was still obiously not made with comfort in mind. Sebastian slipped it around Bryn's neck gently, clipping it in place.
It was a simple thing, little more than a thin metal band with an obvious lock on the front and a little hook for the black silk leash. It was as comfortable as any collar he'd seen and far less gaudy than most, but he still felt like he was choking as it clicked into place around his throat. Panic bubbled through him, hot and fizzy and a lot closer to shame that he'd like. "S-Sebastian?"
group
Sebastian cupped Bryn's head in his hand, holding him gently. He brought himself closer to Bryn.
Bryn all but collapsed into his chest, wrapping his arms weakly around his human's neck with a soft shuddering breath. He hid away from the world, face pressed into Sebastian's shoulder until the only things that existed were comforting arms and a person who loved him. Until he could almost ignore the collar, cold and heavy around his neck. "I hate this," he whispered.
group
"I know," Sebastian muttered lightly, wrapping his arms around Bryn and burying his face in Bryn's hair.
"But we'll get through this. Together."
Bryn sighed mournfully and snuggled closer. "Promise?" His voice was small. His eyes peered up at Sebastian warily, scanning his face for any sign of uncertainty.
group
"Promise." He looked at Bryn with tender eyes. He meant it, too. He would keep Bryn safe, and in the end they would still be together, no matter what. He still held Bryn, not wanting to let go yet. He still wanted to just stay in this room, where they were safe to be themselves. He knew they couldn't, though.
Bryn pursed his lips and then, after a few moments of soft silence, leaned up to kiss him gently. "We're gonna be okay, right? No matter what happens at this lunch today?"
group
"No matter what," Sebastian echoed as a response. He held Bryn for a moment longer, then let his arms fall away from him. He kissed Bryn again one more time, a quick peck for reassurance. They really needed to get going.
Bryn whined when Sebastian pulled away, leaning into each kiss like it might be their last. He kept his arms around the human's neck. He couldn't bear to pull away. Not yet. "I love you."
group
"I love you too." Unable to resist the urge, one hand went up to tangle itself lightly in Bryn's hair.
"We really need to get going," he said. They couldn't stall anymore.
