Basic Rules and Warnings

• Language: Must be kept at a PG-13 level or below. No f-bombs, vulgar terms, racist slurs, or other similar language will be tolerated. Mild cursing is allowed, but don't go overboard.
• Violence & Gore: I expect this to be a fairly dark RP, so there may be a lot of this, as well as death. I do not have a problem with any of these things unless you're just going psycho, extreme-horror level with it. In that case, you might wanna chill out just a tad, but generally I'm good.
• Sexual Content: There may be some innuendos or references, but there will be no explicit sexual content or sex scenes. No exception. If something like that occurs, we'll timeskip over it or refer to it indirectly. However, I highly encourage romance and non-sexual acts of intimacy.
• Magic and Powers: No demons, angels, or spiritual magic elements, please. However, I love superpowers, and as long as they're not OP, I'd love to incorporate them.
• Activity: Look, life happens. Just do what you can. I suck at being active so take your time, fam.
• Post Quality: Try to have decent grammar and English skills. You've gotta have decent length to give me something to work with, but it doesn't have to be thirteen paragraphs or anything wack. Just put effort into your posts and we shouldn't have a problem.
• Triggers: Just let me know if you have any, aight?
• Other: Don't control my characters, auto-hit/dodge, etc. This is a mutual RP though so please feel free to incorporate your ideas and suggest as much as you want. I am looking for serious RPers only— someone who would be willing to try their best to commit to this for an extended period of time and really work on developing characters and plots with me. Don't worry; it's not rigid. Basically all I'm saying is that I want someone who will try.

Plot Idea

I do have a few ideas for plots and characters, but before I spew all of those out, I'm looking for someone who might be interested in the genre.

I want to do a dark superhero fantasy set in a modern-ish society (probably a little bit futurized). As implied, I want it to be dark. And I want to put a lot of focus on character dynamics and relationships. We will probably be pretty cruel to the characters, but aye, that's what makes it fun.

(Awesome! So I had a few ideas, but they're all a little vague, so if you've got any suggestions, please, be my guest. I was thinking maybe we could do something with a superhero who was starting to get kind of tired of the gig for whatever reason. Maybe they're bored, or they feel under-appreciated, or they feel like they're not really making a difference… idk. And maybe, by some series of unfortunate and perhaps dangerous events, they have to team up with an underdog hero or a wannabe superhero who may or may not be kind of a joke at the beginning of this. Depending on how we want this to go down, we could use different elements like villains or crime gangs, and I think it would be really interesting if we tried to explore character arcs that weren't inherently positive. Like maybe one of the characters temporarily [… or even permanently? o.o] becomes a villain at some point later down the road, and the other struggles in themselves too while they try to get their friend back. Whether or not we want to do a romance is up to you; personally I love to do ships, but I like for them to be slow-burn, so I kind of just let the characters interact and see if they get chemistry. But really though none of this is as complicated as I'm making it sound, and we definitely don't have to use this idea. It's just something that came to me.)

(ooh, i can agree with that. maybe its a hero who has been around for a little while and does so much but feels like no one cares. like they saved the world from mass destruction by destroying alien ships and they dont even get a thank you ceremony. so they become a villain because they think that will get them recognition)
