Her grin brightened, and she took the box with a laughter-laced "Thank you!" She leaned her shoulder against the gate and opened it, recognizing the food as one of her favorites. "You know me too well," she said with a chuckle, closing the box and looking up at Karkota. "It's nice seeing you again."
"Yeah, I kinda thought life was boring with out you." Karkota gave a lopsided grin. "Your friends don't take security very seriously. I'm pretty sure they need a nap." He joked, just going off of what he'd heard over the buzzer.

"Aww." She put a hand to her heart, finding herself liking his lopsided grin. "And no, no they don't. I think it's because they're so confident that no one would be stupid enough to try and get in." She sighed dramatically. "Arrogance is such a curse, as is sleep-deprivation."
He chuckled lightly, "honestly I don't blame them. There's lots of people here, I don't think anyone has that much of a death wish that they'd try and get it."

"True. And we all pack a pretty good punch, so maybe that confidence is justified." She lazily gestured over towards the guy on the horse. "That's Rhydar, by the way. Oldest brother of the twins. Youngest in maturity."
"Am not!" he protested.
Karkota have a small wave, "hey." He actually barley registered Rhydar was there to begin with. He had just been so happy to see Tessa again. And glad she didn't turn him away.

Rhydar gave Karkota a two-finger salute in greeting, then turned away and left them two to talk in private.
Tessa watched him leave, then looked to Karkota, a small smile working its way back on her lips. "So what brings you to town? Besides," she lifted the takeout box he had brought her. She would've offered to go inside with him, but last time she did that, he left.
Was there really anyway he could explain himself with out giving away his true feelings? "You." He simply said, hopping that didn't give away to much. "You're fun to be around, and lets face it, I'm totally lost with out you." He rolled his eyes before laughing at his own joke.

She chuckled and flashed a grin. "Well, I am amazing," she said, putting her hand under her chin and batting her eyes, before laughing and dropping her hand. "I hope you plan on sticking around. I need someone else to pester while I'm dying of boredom."
"Well if you insist, then I guess I'll have to." Karkota gave another grin. Besides that its not like he really had anywhere to go, and even then he wasn't sure he could leave Tessa again. At least not willingly.

"I do insist," she stated matter-of-factly with a nod. She then gestured to the house. "You wanna go in? I'd like to eat this wonderful food, and I'd say sitting is better than standing around here all day." She was starting to get tired of standing around all day, anyway, so she hoped he said yes.
"Sure. Need help?" He offered an arm, not really knowing if she was still hobbling around, or walking just fine. Though he doubted the latter.

"Not really," she said but took his arm anyway. She wasn't hobbling, but she still had a slight limp when walking and she kept some pressure off of her leg. Unlike when he first offered his help, she didn't put up a fight and let him help.

Karkota was defiantly surprised. He had expected her to be stubborn, and walk back to the house on her own. He smiled slightly and made sure not to walk to fast. He knew he had a tendency to do that.

((I had three big dogs in the same house and thunderstorms coming through. My aunt came to watch us every now and again, which riled them up as well. My parents weren't home this weekend, so I was in charge of the giant fur babies))

Tessa hummed a random song, fingers tapping Karkota's arm to the rhythm of the song. She kept pace with him, thanks to him slowing down, and she was grateful for that. Her hobbling might've ceased, but her limp still slowed her down. "I'm glad you came back," she said softly.
(Dear gooosh. I am so sorry that happened. I know big dogs can get crazy. But I'm glad you survived!)
"I'm glad I came back too," he had two reasons to come back, Tessa, and the fact he Litarlly had no where else to go. He didn't want to be on the opposite side of some war that would break out. Especially if it ment he'd have to act like he never had feeling for her. Which where slowly becoming a thing.

Tessa smiled and nodded, happy he felt the same way and she wasn't just being selfish. "How long you planning on hanging around?" she asked, tilting her head and looking up at him. She hoped it was more than just a few hours before he disappeared again.
Okay, maybe she was a tad selfish.
