Skye stopped a few feet away, realizing she couldn't chase him, he would've run right then and there, but something told him he should stay.

She managed to close her eyes. She couldn't muster the energy to transform.
Done in by a wolf…
Skye hesitantly padded closer, wary, and ready to bolt.
group
Arie heard Skye getting closer, but she couldn't do anything.
Why did you attack me? he asked, reaching out hesitantly.
group
Honestly? I was on a kill high.
That's disgusting… replied Skye, But… what even are you?
group
Isn't it obvious? I'm a vampire. Arie would have smirked, had she had control over her face.
"Figured…" said Skye aloud.
group
Arie rolled her eyes.
Skye frowned. "I understand survival, but why terrorize?"
group
I usually don't terrorize; that's usually after I've had a very successful kill.
Skye huffed, And I guess I was the exception?
group
I'm not sure why. I guess it was just exciting, meeting another supernatural being who wasn't a total jerk. Set me off.
Skye growled lowly, Well I didn't appreciate your greeting. he said flatly.
group
Arie laughed in her mind.
It's called flexing. You know, showing your might?
Skye frowned, You could've sked for a friendly duel, not threaten to kill me.
group
Arie laughed again.
That's not how vampires work, sweetie.
Well unfortunately you've lost any chance of me not being a jerk. And If I were a nightshde I'd be leaving you out here to die. said Skye, taking the last couple of steps towards her. He saw dawn coming, and he was waiting for it to come out.
group
Arie felt the dawn coming as well. Ah well, she thought to herself.
I had a good run.
Skye watched as the sun came up, and started to shine on them both.
group
Arie seemed to be steaming. She tried to cry out in pain, but she couldn't move. Tears well in her eyes. These evaporated from the heat of her skin. She was burning alive.
Skye nodded to himself, coming over and scooping her up in his jaws, digging in just enough to hurt, s he slowly, ever so slowly, headed for the trees.
group
Arie hardly noticed Skye's teeth. She felt as if she were burning in hell; in a few moments, she would go up in a ball of flame.
Skye made it to the trees a few moments later, tasting a bit of blood as his fangs dug in bit.
group
Arie felt herself go into the shade. The pain started to slowly, painfully slowly, go away.
Skye dropped her uncerimoniously, like a dog would drop a chew toy.
group
She landed on the ground, wing bent under her in an unnatural position.
group
Arie looked up at Skye as the pain resided.
Thank you.
Skye didn't bother to fix it, he knew she wasn't in any danger of dying. And that was enough since she'd tried to kill him.
