M half-closed his eyes and stretched, then winced. "Damn it." He growled gently under his breath.
(like..you have your leg up to your chest then you set your chin on it.)
"Um M? What happened to you when I came back? Like..you almost died." She said tentatively.
(ah)
His eyes fluttered open. "Oh, right. Well, that doesn't matter." He grinned. "Done?"
"Oh..ok…yeah i'm done." She said getting up and pushing in her chair.
M glanced up. "Where're you going?"
"Oh I was just going to go take a shower, y'know wash the blood off my clothes." She said leaning on her chair.
"Oh, okay. There should be some stuff up in your bathroom. Or any bathroom; I don't care."
She turned to leave the room, "Thanks." North said, going up to her room and walking into the bathroom and turning on the water.
M rose and collected the plates, and started doing the dishes, humming quietly.
North showered quickly, wrapped a towel around herself and pulled her wet hair into a tight bun. She walked into the main bedroom and opened the closet, finding a variety of clothes her size. North changed quickly into a black t-shirt and jeans.
M was scrubbing at a spot of grime when she walked back downstairs. He was growling at it in a foreign language.
North smirked and leaned on the counter next to him. "Need some help?" She asked.
"Eísai anóito skatá– sorry, what?"
(is that a language??)
"I said do you need some help." She laughed.
(Yes, it's Greek)
"Oh, no, I've almost got this bastard."
"Ok." She said sitting down and watching him.
M glared back down at the bit of stubborn grime. "Gamóto skatá esý lígo kólasi kólasi kólasi, kommáti tou vromiá sas skatá," He growled at it as he scrubbed furiously.
North giggled at his ranting, "How many languages do you speak?"
"I speak every language ever thinkable by humankind," M said to her as he straightened up away from the grime spot.
She raised her eyebrows at him, "Really? Were you just born..knowing all this stuff or..?"
"I'm a natural Mind Reader who has read the mind of any and all character types ever. You tell me. Was it taught, or did I learn it? I was kinda destined to know it."
"Ooo, you were destined to know it." She said mockingly.
"How would you like to look in an undiscovered child rapist's mind at seven-years-old, without your knowledge or consent?"
"Oh," She said cringing slightly, "That sucks."
"Yes," He growled stiffly. "It does. But, anyway, my mind reading has come to be very handy."
North smiled and hid her face in her hands, "I don't like it, it's..weird."
"Don't worry, I can only read your stronger thoughts. And," He paused. "I– Iove you too."
North's eyes grew wide but she smiled widely at M, "R-really?" She stammered.
"Well, yes, um, yes." He grinned a little and nodded. "Not in the y'know, lover way, but as a father."
North blushed deeply, "Yeah definitely." She stood up and hugged M tightly.
