If you say so… North blinked and they were in a very cold area. The ground beneath them was almost totally ice.

North shivered and stood up, gazing around for the next orb.

She noticed the sheet of ice must’ve been a lake before, because she spotted the banks far off. Then, in the middle of the lake, she saw a small, round blue orb, shining a bright white in the ice.

North started walking towards it, slipping a bit on the ice. Will it fly away from me like the other one?

No, I don’t think so. It looks stuck. It might be the Water Orb. There isn’t a Glacial Orb… that one’s in Life’s office.

North reached the orb and knelt down next to it. How am I supposed to get it?

The ice looks too thick to try and break… Um… I don’t know…

Do you know how far down the ice goes? She asked, walking back to M and moving him to the shore of the frozen lake.

Probably pretty deep, considering that orb is suspended right in the middle. It’s pratically crying for help, too.

Is there a way you could get me down under the ice?

Sure, if you wanted to freeze to death. I could take you back home, and we could get Cameron to help us.

Yeah that'd probably be better. She glanced over at M. It'd be better for M too.

North went over to M and took his cold hand in hers.

North blinked and they were suddenly in the breezy fall afternoon.

M didn’t even stir at her voice, his eyes were still tense and squeezed shut.

North sighed and stood up. "PAX?!" She yelled, hoping he would come and get M.

Nope. Everyone knows Pax is literally one of the deafest characters ever.

Goddammit. North ran back up to the mansion and went looking for Xanthe.

Xanthe was still in the kitchen, looking intently at her phone, as a spoon for her ice cream hung out of her mouth.

"Hey Xanthe can you come here, it's M." North said hurriedly.

Xanthe dropped her phone onto the table with a plap.
“M?” She asked, slightly muffled, through the spoon.

"Yeah. He over used his magic or something."
