North stood up, steady on her feet, and went up to her room, closing the door behind her. A gun appeared in her hand and she held it up to her head. Out.

Zackary followed then leaned against the wall with a yawn. What are you trying to prove?

That you make me want to die. She felt tears rising to her eyes and pulled the trigger.

The gun exploded with force, it flew back out of her hand and hurt them, yet the bullet did nothing. Flew through her head as if she were a ghost and into the wall, just above Zackary's right, faded-out shoulder.

“NOTHING. I CANT DO A FUCKING THING!” She sobbed, slamming her hand against the wall.

Zackary watched with visible boredom on his face. Yes, I've told you that.

Do you know how much I would give to be like you right now? No you don’t. So you can just shut up and leave me alone.

Zackary smirked. Don't play the faithfully unmisunderstood card, Harry Potter (especially in the 5th book/movie like my god). I know exactly what it's like to want to die. Hell, I'm not dead. So shut your trap, I'm almost as alive as you. You think, now that my life has been shattered, my husband's gone, and my kids are grown up, I don't want to die? ESPECIALLY NOW?

North didn’t answer, tears rolled down her face and she sat down, her knees up to her chest.

Zackary gave her a look of disgust, relaxing against the wall again. A few minutes of silence passed.
I'm going. It's pointless to stay with you. His white wings shivered behind him angrily.

Ok..feel free to come back if you want. North felt her last scrap of hope disappearing from her mind. Her face went blank.

You just told me to leave. Why would you want me to come back?

I don’t know. Fine. Go. Don’t come back.

Zackary gave her a harsh, particularly unfriendly look and floated out of the room. It left her alone with the gun on the ground, totally useless to her.

You’re alone now. Better get used to it. She told herself.

Zackary shook his head, then disappeared with a crack usually accustomed to Neo. It left the rest of the house in total silence.

North stayed like that for hours. I don’t even matter anymore..

A few hours before she heard a pair of voices outside her door. They sounded worried, but when she didn't stir to see who it was, they moved on, leaving her in silence.

She felt hungry but she ignored it.
