"Maybe not him, but others. Neither of us have dated someone in years, what if this is a result because of that?" He asked quietly not wanting to know the answer.

Hearing him say it made her heart ache even more. "You're saying this isn't love?" Her voice wavered slightly.

"No, of course, I'm not saying that. All I'm saying is that you might love someone else." He said defeated

"But I don't," she said desperately. "Please stop thinking like this!"

He sighed and glanced at her through half closed eyes "I don't want to be the reason you restrain yourself from other people." He whispered quietly

"I don't want to be with anyone else!" Her voice was edging on desperation.

"nor do I love." He said reaching for her hand

"Then let's just run with this, alright?" she said, sounding more relieved as he touched her hand gently.

He smiled a bit and nodded. "Let's." He pulled her to him and hugged her close

She relaxed against him and sighed happily. "Alright then…"

He tightened his grip on her "I'm sorry for that, I just want to make sure this is what you want."

"It is," she assured him quietly. His grip was tight, but she didn't mind much.

He traced circles on her arms gently "so you're going to meet up with him later?"

"No," she answered. "Tonight is for us, remember?"

He smiled, momentarily forgetting about the date they had planned "right, yes it is. But what about Demitri?"

"What about him?" she murmured quietly.

"true but I mean are you going to meet him"

"Not tonight," she answered softly.

He nodded and held her tight against him "oh, I forgot to tell you before, we have to dress up for the Night Circus. They require everyone who's going to wear costumes."

"What are we supposed to wear?" she asked quietly.

(OH. MY. SPRINKLES. ARE YOU THINKING WHAT I'M THINKING?!?!?)

(I love the sudden outburst but no I'm afraid not, wut?)
"I'm guessing circus related costume, nothing like clowns or anything but more mysterious and dark," Gabriel said with a smile

(Mayura and Hawkmoth -like costumes? ;)

A few ideas were forming in her mind. "Oh. I don't suppose you have anything in mind?"

(oh dang Yus!!! Maybe do it low-key or something)
He shook his head "but I'm guessing you do love?" He said, glancing at her with a small smile "yeah, you do. I see the gleam In your eyes."

(Yeah, this is going to be so cool!)

She blushed. "Just a few ideas…"

He smiled and glanced up at the ceiling "a few? I highly doubt that love, highly."

She blushed. "What do you mean?"

He shook his head "Nothing love, so what are we doing till then? we still have a few more hours."

"Whatever you like," she said quietly.

"Staying with you," he said, involuntarily stroking her arm

She gasped faintly, absorbing his touch. "A-Alright…" she whispered.
