I'll come back. Grey promised as he weaved through the crowds with his cousin, trying to avoid as many people as possible
MLM Romeo And Juliet #2
Eric swallowed nervously. The encounter had made him forget how many other people he had to talk to. He turned, only to lay eyes on Lady Amato - and the handsome man from earlier.
"Eric, this is Paris."
Eric put on his polite smile, somewhat dimmed, and stretched his hand out. Paris's hand was broad and cold, his grasp firm. Eric itched to get away from it.
"How are you?" Eric asked, struggling to keep making eye contact.
The man's blue eyes were lidded in amusement, and he let go, putting his hands in his pockets. "I'm alright."
Greyson and Devan finally made it out of the house and onto the city streets. "So….who was that?" Devant pries with à lightly shove
Greyson scratches thé back of his head nervously "uhm a guy….."
"Mhm, whom you talked to and interacted with and had a full on conversation with…." Devan stretched on, his voice getting higher with excitement
Grey blushed and nodded "is that not what you do at parties?"
Paris smiled broadly. "Your mother wasn't joking when she told me how handsome you were."
Eric chuckled nervously, awkwardly clutching onto the plate of shrimp, well aware he looked like a five year old. "That's really nice of you," he replied, quickly risking a look to his right, searching for a certain dark-haired man. He was nowhere to be seen.
“So…who was he?” Devan asked with a tilt of his head.
Greyson sighed “his name is Eruc.”
Devan stopped in his tracks “eric??? As in Eric Capulste Amato?? The son of one of the two wralthiest people in this city? Rival to our own family??!!”
Greyson nodded “yeah, whats the big deal, all we did was talk.”
“Ohoho no, that was not your ‘just talking’ look dear cousin, that was your full on ‘I’m interested and single’ look”
Eric turned back to his company and gasped. "Oh my god. I forgot. I had this huge project that I should've done over spring break, and, uh….there's three days left, I should really go work on it," he said quickly, ignoring the daggers Lady Amato's eyes shot at him.
If Paris realized Eric was bullshitting him, he didn't show it. "Yeah, college can be like that. What's it on?"
Eric blinked. "English major. Analyzing how many separate girlfriends Emily Dickinson wrote about in her poetry."
Lady Amato choked on her cream puff.
Paris's eyebrows rose. "I love Emily Dickinson. Truly a lesbian icon. We should get together and talk about it sometime," he said, briefly touching Eric's arm.
Eric laughed lightly. "Sure. If you'll excuse me." He turned and weaved through the crowd, rushing up the staircase.
(sorry this took like five years)
(it's ok! Don't worry about it,)
Greyson blushed harder and they made their way through the streets "oh shush, I saw you trailing after that guy."
Devan giggled "yeah, we're actually meeting up next week. He's really nice."
Greyson broke out into a smile, happy that his cousin finally found someone of interest to him. "That's great, think it'll last?"
Devan shrugged "I hope so, I have a good feeling about this one. How bout you, you and your angel gonna meet up?"
"Ah, I don't know, we never talked about meeting up. Plus I think he's into someone else. Some dude named Paris."
"Tough dear cousin, but I'm sure if your angel is interested, he'll find you. If not, then you'll have to find them."
"Stalk them?"
Eric opened the door to his bedroom in a quick motion. He took off his wings, dropped them on the floor, and threw himself on the bed with a sigh.
"You alright, hon?"
Their maid was standing in the doorway.
"Oh. Lizzie. Yeah, I'm okay."
She came and sat on the bed. "You know you can talk to me, right?"
He huffed. "My mom wants me to date some guy so his dad's company would merge with hers, and he's hot and everything, but…."
She raised her eyebrows.
"Well…there was a guy at the party and I talked to him for a bit and he was really cute and I just…I don't know, he really intrigued me, you know? He was-" he inhaled sharply, "-funny and weird and he kind of kept me on my toes. I don't know, he was really something."
"Think of it more offaithfulness." Devan said with a smile
"Faithfulness? how." Grey asked, raising his eyebrows at his cousin who knew full well that he was very specific about the topic
"Yeah, it'll show that you're not messing around with his feelings. You're interested in him and only him. It'll show that he's captured you're eye and that you feel for him."
"Right, or it'll show that i'm a creep who doesn't know boundaries."
"Pft, since when have boundaries been a problem for you?" Devan teased
"Since I've actually fallen for someone this time."
Lizzie smiled. "Hon, that's wonderful. What's his name?"
"Grayson. Pretty cool, right?"
Lizzie's smile vanished. "I'm sorry, Grayson? Grayson Montague Castellon?"
"Wait, what?"
"You didn't know who he was?"
Eric wet his lips. "Well, we never got to that point."
Lizzie covered her eyes with her hand. "Oh my god. You got attached to the son of our rival company's CEO. Oh my god. Have you considered that they sent him to this party so he could seduce you?"
Eric frowned. "What? That's ridiculous. What is this, a spy movie? No, Lizzie, he just thought I was cute."
Lizzie pursed her lips. "I'll let you think about it." She patted his arm, then stood up and left.
"Grey, you're so helpless when it comes to love." Devan patted his cousin's shoulder in comfort
"I know, shut it." he sighed "If I don't hear anything about him in the next week, I'll find him and talk. If he's not interested, i'll leave him alone." he said, thinking out the plan
"And by talking you mean confessing you're undying love for him and sweeping him off his feet, right?"
"Maybe," he said with a sigh
"Thats a hell yes!" devan bounced around
Grey took him by the shoulders "you say a word about this to anyone and you won't hear the end of it from me, alright?"
Devan nodded but kept bouncing
(wait what happens next)
(balcony scene?)
(oh right balcony scene)
(yep,)
Eric got up and opened the French doors, striding out onto the balcony. It was a beautiful night, full moon and everything. Very romantic, Eric's brain chimed in. Eric batted the thought away, appalled at himself.
Greyson sighed and looked over his shoulder, making sure he wasn't being followed. He had found a black satin mask from his mother's costume closet and pulled it on, making sure if he was seen, he wouldn't be recognized. He scaled the wall and dropped down into the courtyard. He glanced up and saw that Eric was on the balcony I've found you again my angel.
"So, the rumors, are true." Grey said aloud, coming out from his hiding place and walking around the courtyard
Eric yelped, then looked down. "The fuck? Wait, Grayson?"
"is it really that easy to distinguish who I am even with the mask?" He Sighed and pulled off the mask "well, there goes the 'dont get caught' plan." He glanced up towards where eric was standing and smiled "hi Eric"
I've been thinking about you for the past half hour, yes, it's that easy. Eric smiled back. "Hey. You pulled a Cinderella act on me back there. Came in, all mysterious, charmed me, flirted with me, and then left." He pulled a face. "Left me to deal with that Paris dude."
"ah yes, I apologies for leaving so adruptly. Something came up and I couldn't depart properly." He tilted his head "I thought you liked him?"
Eric barked out a short laugh. "Liked him? I thought I established that I won't be with someone if it's being pushed on me. I like to be…unfettered in my romantic affairs," Eric teased, leaning over the edge of the balcony and looking down at Grayson.
“Huh, good to know for future reference.” Greyson muttered with a grin “and how was the party after I left?" He asked, shoving his hands in his pocket
"I really don't know," Eric mused, messing with his hair. "I left as soon as I could. By the way, what the hell was a Montague doing at our house?" He asked, tone growing sharp, yet keeping an undertone of playfulness to it.
He grinned mischeiviously "you really need to step up security Capulate, they're were two montegues in your house tonight.”
Eric wrinkled his nose and made a low noise in his throat, resembling a dissatisfied cat. "And you, Montague, need to check who you flirt with before you go and get attached enough that you're courting them under their balcony. You're gonna get found, you idiot. You're a sitting duck."
Greyson grinned "maybe that's what I want to happen, just to see your reaction. And for the record, I didn't know you were a Capulate until last minute after I had left." He ran a hand through his hair and sighed "I don't think you could lable this as courting…"
Eric leaned in further. "Grayson. You're in my backyard. Flirting with me. Despite the possibility that you might get caught. That's courting."
He shrugged "fine, I'm courting you, and apparently doing a very good job since you haven't left yet."
Eric made that low noise again, this time to mean perhaps. "Indeed. So why exactly are you here? I doubt it's just for the" he inhaled, "stimulating conversation."
