Kk, I'll make one in school

@croccin-champagne

Eyyyyyy g'morning!

Wassup

@croccin-champagne

Bump?

@PrettyLittlePyro

Who wants to start?

@croccin-champagne

Do you want me to? I'm good with whatever.

@PrettyLittlePyro

Sure, if you want to.

@croccin-champagne

((Skskskksk that's so unhelpful. I'm not sure how you wanted this to start, so…?))

Juliet sipped her frap as she sat on the park bench, sketchbook open on her lap. Her pencil was tapping rhythmically as she tried to find some spark of inspiration, but she was all out. Nothing interesting had happened lately, and she hadn't really felt anything, either. And most of her creativity stemmed from emotions, so she was basically screwed.

@PrettyLittlePyro

"Mate, you're staring at her again," Jason said.
Romeo blushed and looked away from the figure on the bench. "Sorry." He grabbed his skateboard and stood up. "Come on."

@croccin-champagne

The worst part for Juliet was the deadline. This design was supposed to be for some tattoo convention her family would be at, but why they chose her? She had absolutely no clue. She groaned, leaning back against the bench and looking at the sky. How am I supposed to figure this out? I can't let mom down.

@PrettyLittlePyro

Romeo went back to skating, but he couldn't keep his mind off of that girl. It got to the point that he wasn't looking where he was going and ran into a ten year old on a scooter. After apologizing a million times, he went back to his friends, who were cracking up.

@croccin-champagne

The sound of laughter brought her out of the daydream she had been lost in, and she looked down at a group of guys her age. One in particular caught her eye. Romeo Montague, her supposed-to-be archnemesis, and secret schoolgirl crush. She didn't like him though, just his aesthetic. Or at least, that's what she kept trying to convince herself.

@PrettyLittlePyro

Romeo managed to get the girl out of his mind for a bit and fun with his friends until Jason nudged. "Dude, she's staring at you." He glanced back and saw that she was, indeed, looking at him. But she probably wasn't looking at him. Maybe one of his friends, or even staring into space. But why would she look at him? He was nobody special.

@croccin-champagne

Bad decisions were Juliet's thing, which is why she found herself tucking the sketchbook into her bag and grabbing her drink, before making her way over to the group. "What are you boys up to today?" She asked, a flirty smile on her face.

@PrettyLittlePyro

Romeo blushed scarlet and quickly turned his head away. Then, looking back, he said, "What does it look like, Capulet? Or are you blind as well as ugly?" He winced inwardly as he said that. His parents had forbidden him to talk to her unless it was an insult. Honestly, he thought it was stupid, the hatred of the two families, but he couldn't say anything nice. They would always find out.

@croccin-champagne

"Oof, ouch. Such a hurtful insult, Montague." Juliet shot back, resting her elbow on the shoulder of one of Romeo's friends. Jack, right? I think so… She could have just mentioned the fact that she actually was visually handicapped, and wearing contacts at this exact moment, but where was the fun in that? "If that's really the best you got, this won't last very long."

@PrettyLittlePyro

He snorted. "I wasn't trying. Now why don't you go home and keep coloring your 'pretty' pictures?" He shrugged and walked away, calling for his friends behind him.
Jason caught up to him. "Dude, what was that?"
"Family rivalry," was all Romeo said, but Jason got it.
"I can set you up with her if you want."
Romeo shrugged. "It's no use. She will say no. She hates me. It's just a crush."

@croccin-champagne

"Well, that was a bust." Juliet said, mostly to herself. There was a twinge of hurt at his words, but she stomped it down. He'd managed to touch on a sore spot, even, despite how horribly he had done it. She was running out of inspiration, had been since…since her dad had died. There were only a few more things to try, so she headed off to the library.

@PrettyLittlePyro

Romeo was ashamed of himself, but he couldn't do anything about it. And as he lay in his bed that night, staring at the ceiling, he thought about what he had said to Jason. He wished that she liked him, but there was no way that she would like him now, not with what he said to her.

@croccin-champagne

Juliet had spent hours in the library, pouring over art books and fairytales and anything that could possibly help. Now though, as she sat on the roof of the same building, staring up at the night sky, she couldn't keep her mind off of Romeo for some reason. She couldn't help but wonder if, had their families not despised each other, they might have been friends. Or at least able to tolerate the sight of each other.

@PrettyLittlePyro

(Do you think that there should be a school dance or something, like the ball in the play?)

@croccin-champagne

"That's a brilliant idea. I haven;t actually read the play, I'm in the process of reading it now, so you might have to help me out lmao))

@PrettyLittlePyro

(I get it. I haven't read it in so long, but I'll try my best on this.)

Romeo suddenly sat bolt upright. He had just had a great idea. The school dance was happening, and you had to wear masks. He could totally get Jason to hook them up, and he could spend one night with her and he wouldn't get in trouble with his or her family! He pulled out his phone and told Jason the plan.

@croccin-champagne

Juliet blinked as a star fell across the sky, and she smiled. Closing her eyes, she made a wish. It was cheesy and childish, but she always did, and this time she needed her wish to come true. Her phone buzzed, and she picked it up to read a frantic text from her best friend, Anthony, about his outfit for the coming dance.

@PrettyLittlePyro

"Can you do it?" He asked Jason.
"Yeah, I can try It'll be hard, though."
Romeo grinned. "Thanks, man."

@croccin-champagne

Juliet hadn't even thought about what to wear, which was odd for her. She wasn't sure how formal this was supposed to be, but she assumed that if it was a masquerade type thing, it would have to be somewhat formal. Her and Anthony went back and forth with ideas, spawning an argument about fall colors.

@PrettyLittlePyro

Romeo had no idea what to wear for the dance. Finally, he decided that he was probably just going to wear the first thing he saw. He would probably look awful, but he didn't care.

@croccin-champagne

It didn't take long for them to help each other come up with ideas, and they decided to go out shopping together tomorrow. Juliet had to admit, she was kind of excited about the dance. She did wonder though, if Romeo would be going at all. He didn't really seem like the type, but..

@PrettyLittlePyro

Romeo fell asleep, and, as embarrassing and cliche as it sounds, he fell asleep and dreamed about the dance and Juliet.
He awoke the next morning with a huge smile on his face.

@croccin-champagne

((Do we want to skip straight to the dance, or do you have something else you'd like to fill in before?))

Juliet had fallen asleep on the roof of the library, something she did a bit too often, and woke to Hoodie by Hey, Violet. It was the ringtone she had set for her mom, an inside joke after a major break up Juliet had been through. She answered the call, quickly letting her mom know she was fine, and made her way over to the fire escape on the side of the building.
