"Fair enough." she nodded, accepting that answer. How he formed that habit was none of her business anyway.
"Sorry to interrupt," Corvin said as he poked his head in on the two, "but I thought it would be a good idea to bring these over for you, Sirus." he stated, holding a single bedroll in his arms.

Sirus gave a nod of thanks shifting himself up onto one knee so he could take the bedroll, "I appreciate that." he said, "Thank you."`
“You’re welcome.” Corvin nodded back as he handed the furs over. ”I also came to ask if you both wanted to have dinner with my family tonight.” he offered, smiling a little mischievously. ”While she's come a long way, Gwen’s still learning how to cook.”
”Corvin!” the former princess exclaimed, blushing, though she knew he was teasing.

Sirus laughed, "Cooking is a skill that takes awhile to learn." he said, "I would be honoured to join you." he added once he had calmed down.

Corvin nodded, still laughing a little. ”I honestly only know the basics myself. Besides, I don't think it's a skill they teach royalty.”
”You know it's not.” Gwen groaned, mentally debating on tackling her mentor as she stood up.

Sirus just chuckled, "It's not exactly a skill they teach wolves either." he said, "I can burn it, but that's about it." he waited until Gwen was out of the way before standing.
Gwen gave a small smile, feeling a little better because of his comment, as she exited her tent. ”Were you actually raised by wolves or were your family shifters too?”

Sirus paused a little bit at the question, but answered quickly enough that neither would've noticed, "I was raised in a wolfpack, my human side comes from my mother." he explained. "As of now, I am a rogue, and I hold no allegiance to anyone except whom I choose."
Gwen raised a brow as she tried to think about his answer before Corvin placed a hand on her shoulder.
”Thank you for answering that.” he told Sirius sincerely. ”You don’t have to answer any more personal questions like that. That's your business but you're welcome to stay as long as you need. Of course, you'll have to follow the same rules as the rest of the tribe while you're here.”

Sirus nodded, "It's perfectly alright, I've already told her that I might not answer some questions." he look to her with a reassuring nod. "And of course, I plan on being respectful to the laws your tribe has in place while I'm on your lands."
Corvin nodded a little and lead them both to his tent, just a short walk away.
Gwen smirked and shook her head. ”That’s almost the same speech you gave me before I started training.” she said, holding back a light laugh.

Sirus followed them quietly, leaving his pack in Gwen's tent.
Corvin smiled a little at his student before ducking inside his tent. Since he was born and raised as a part of the tribe, his home was largely decorated with family marks as well as personal accomplishments and a few made by his ancestors. The interior also held a fair number of trophies, though his pride and joy ran straight past him and quickly tackled the young woman.
”Gwenny!!!!” the 4-year-old screamed happily as he wrapped his arms around her waist.

Sirus balked a little bit at the screaming four year old, but quickly replaced his surprise with amusement as the boy hugged Gwen tightly.
Gwen took a small step back at the initial charge before she returned the hug, laughing. ”Hey, Jeim. Did you miss me?” she teased, picking him up.
”Mom wouldn't let me see your hunt when you got back.” the child whined a little before looking at her eagerly. ”Did ya get a big one? I heard everyone say you hunted with a wolf!”

Sirus held back a chuckle at that, but kept his distance from the pair, not sure he was all that great around kids.
Gwen blushed and shook her head. ”I… I didn't hunt with a wolf. It was just me and your dad.” she said softly. ”But we did run into a wolf. A big, surprisingly amicable, wolf.” she told Jeim, as she gently started tickling the boy. ”Jeim, this is Sirius. He’s a wolf shifter. Sirius, this is Jeim. Corvin’s oldest son.”

Sirus nodded quietly, "Pleased to make your acquaintance Jeim." he responded, carefully keeping his wariness of the small child hidden from his facial features. Truthfully, children, especially small ones, made him uneasy. Not that they were a threat, just… he didn't know how to act around one.

Jeim stopped giggling long enough to give the stranger a suspicious glance. ”He doesn't look like a wolf to me.” he said quite plainly before squealing at a sharp poke at his side.
”Jeim, you can't judge someone just by how they look.” Corvin scolded as he took his son off Gwen’s arms. ”Remember when you said Gwen didn't look like a fighter after I told you what she did to Merik?”

Jeim laughed and nodded at the reminder. ”She sure proved everyone wrong, didn't she?”
Gwen smiled a little at the memory, though she was blushing faintly. ”I think it was that dress.” she joked before turning to Sirius. ”Merik is the one who accused me of stealing from you earlier.” she clarified, in case he was curious.

Sirus nodded in acknowledgement, "If you really had stolen from me, I should think he would be more impressed." he said nonchalantly.
Gwen shrugged. ”I’m sure that would be a much more impressive feat, but he would use it as an opportunity to discredit me.” she told him. ”He’s had a grudge against me since I broke his nose when the group he was a part of brought me here.”
Corvin looked away from the two and walked over towards the fire where his pregnant wife was finishing cooking a stew for dinner.

Sirus rolled his eyes, "Some people just don't know how to take a hit." he said softly.
Gwen couldn't help but let out a surprised laugh at his comment. Of all the reactions he could have given, that was one she hadn't been expecting.
”Whenever you two are done, dinner is ready.” Corvin’s wife, Rhes, called over for them to join the family by the fire to eat.
