"That's not a real reason!" Autumn laughed.
mOth GIRL COME MORROW I WANT ANOTHER RP WITH YOU
Alex laughed too and plopped down the steps. “It is now.”
"But– but– Why?" Autumn questioned.
“Because it is.” Alex grinned.
"Pft… Fine," Autumn sighed.
Alex smiled and reached the end of the steps. He set her down. “There you are, my queen.”
Autumn let out a sigh of, "Finally," before reaching up to peck his lips. "Thanks."
Alex pecked her back on the cheek. “You’re welcome, my love.”
"Now… Waffles!" Autumn declared with a grin as she started toward the kitchen.
Alex beamed. “Indeed! Waffles!” He tailed her to the kitchen.
"How many do you want?" Autumn asked as she opened the freezer and grabbed the box.
“All of them,” Alex answered as he took the box from her. “They’re all miiiiiineeee!”
"No! Fork 'em over, Langton!" Autumn demanded, putting a hand on her hip and sticking the other one out for the box.
Alex instead handed her a wicked high-five. “Nah!” He punctuated with the slap.
Autumn pouted at him, giving him her best puppy dog eyes. "Alex, I'm hungry…"
Alex chuckled and turned his back to her towards the toaster. “Nope. They’re mine.”
Autumn walked up behind him and wrapped her arms around his waist, standing on her tiptoes to set her chin on his shoulder. "But babe…"
Alex laughed, smiling as he popped waffles into the toaster. He glanced at her and booped her nose.
“Go sit down, baby. I’ll serve them up.”
Autumn smiled and kissed his cheek. "Good," she chuckled, letting him go to make her way over to a chair. She sat down and placed her elbows on the table, setting her chin in her hands as she watched Alex.
Alex glanced at her over his shoulder with a grin. “How many would you like?”
"Two would be great. Thanks, love," Autumn said, grinning at him.
Alex dished them up and lathered it in syrup and butter, then ploppd them in front of her.
“You’re very welcome, my lovely.”
Autumn rolled her eyes at the pet name as she picked up a fork. "I think I like 'baby' better."
Alex chuckled and sat down happily. “Alright, then, baby. Enjoy.”
"I will, babe," Autumn said with a light laugh, starting in on her waffles.
Alex rose to start on his waffles, humming a low jazzy yet blues tune as he waved his hips. He half-closed his eyes as he hummed and swayed, the tune strong in his mind.
Autumn watched Alex with an amused smile while she ate her food.
"Having fun there?" she teased.
Alex opened his eyes and looked over at her, smiling a bit. “Oh, yeah. Having the best time.”
"Have you ever been dancing?" Autumn asked, almost out-of-the-blue.
Alex tilted his head. “Hmm. No I haven’t.”
