Avon glanced around the room. He was being too straightforward, too scary. It was probably freaking Nik out. He grabbed his phone, and noticed a few messages. He tried not to care for them.

Nik took a deep breath. "Sorry." he said again, shaking his head. "But I'd…singing would be fine, I just…I don't know. Sorry." he let out a breathy laugh. Smoke jumped down, padding over to Nik and rubbing against the smaller male's ankles.
"Don't be sorry, I should be saying that," Avon mumbled. He thought about his songs, and then realized he knew a great one. "How about we sing my latest tune?" He asked. "It's simpler, easier." He said, softly.
He blinked. "Er. Alright." He replied with a faint smile. He picked up Smoke, snuggling the little kitten close, pressing his nose to Smoke's grey fur.
( A smile! Ahhh that's adorable. )
Avon started the song out slower than he usually would have, careful to sing the lyrics more softly. He wanted to hear Nik, not himself. He had his song to listen to, but Nik was only for today.
Nik hesitated a moment, then moved and began to sing along quietly. He had a fair singing voice. Not as good as Avon had, of course, but definitely a good one. It was a soft tenor, light and gentle.
Avon kept his song going, eyes widening at Nik's beautiful voice. It contrasted his in the best way, and he loved it. You could have even said he was falling in love with his voice.
Nik kept singing quietly, eyes focused on his kitten instead of on Avon. He petted Smoke gently as he sang. He took a deep breath.
Avon continued on, they were nearing the song's end by then. He tried to tune his voice even lower, he wanted Nik to shine, without being obvious.
Nik kept singing at the same quiet volume that he had been nearly the whole time. He was still looking down at Smoke, petting the kitten.
As the song ended, Avon completely faded his voice into a soundless kind of thing. He could only hear Nik by the end of it, and he thought so well of his voice. He smiled, so widely.
Nik looked up rather shyly when the song ended, biting his lip and holding Smoke still. He didn't quite know what to say, nor did he understand exactly why Avon was smiling like that.
Avon looked at his phone one more time. "You sounded great," He said softly. He stretched a little bit, before standing up. "For real, I would never lie about musical talent."
Nik bit his lip a little bit again, a faint blush on his cheeks at the compliment. "Oh. Thank you." He said softly, swallowing.
"It's nothing but a compliment, Nik." Avon said, with a less extreme formed smile. He felt a lot of buzzing in his pocket, even audibly. "I might need to take this," He said, before walking a few steps away. He put the phone to his ear and only screams could be heard.
Nik could faintly hear the screams, and raised his eyebrows a little bit, worried. He took the plates and took them into the kitchen, putting them in the dishwasher after putting Smoke down.
"You're WHERE?" Cried some woman on the phone. "I'm at a fan's house, Rosalia. I got lost, dear." He mumbled. "You got lost? Avon! How many times has this been, now? The next time it happens we may have to drop you!" The woman, Rosalia, screamed. Avon frowned. "But this one's different," He complained. Rosalia, on the other side of the line, shook her head. "We're coming for you, stay put." She said, and then cut off the line. Avon sighed.
Smoke wandered over to Avon and rubbed up against the man's legs, purring softly. Nik came back out of the kitchen, letting out a breath. "Everything okay?" he asked, raising his eyebrows.
"Apparently my manager's mad that I'm lost and hanging out here so she's sent someone after me," Avon groaned. He clearly looked embarrassed, and kind of mad. "I really hate to leave you like this, but I have intruded upon your space,"He mumbled, fiddling with his fingers.
Nik rubbed the back of his neck. "…oh. I guess I kinda kidnapped you, didn't I?" he replied with a laugh. "But don't worry about it. It was…it was fun, actually. For me, anyways. I don't know about you."
"It was marvelous, Nik. Good thing we still have contact." Avon said, doing a hand motion that represented the ticket. "If they try and sue you or something I'll defend you. They're insane." He said, as his smile grew.
Nik laughed a little bit. Smoke meowed from where he sat on the floor. "Well. That would be appreciated." he replied with a smile, looking at Avon.
A loud screech was heard from outside, Avon's manager's car must have just pulled in. He looked at the door, and turned back to Nik. "thanks for singing with me," He said, with a subtle wink.
Nik smiled again. "Yeah. Thanks for… everything." He let out a weak, embarrassed little laugh. "See you…the concert, maybe?" He shrugged helplessly, picking up Smoke and petting the little kitten.
"Of course." Avon promised. He heard a loud scream from outside of the house. "I need to, oh, bye bye Nik!" He exclaimed. He raced out of the building, quickly. He didn't need to keep Rosalia waiting on him. He hoped Nik would notice his number on that ticket, he really did. He was too dumb to tell him straight up.
Nik laughed a little at the way Avon rushed out, waving. "Bye!" He called after the singer. He closed the door once Avon was gone, letting out a breath as the past hour sunk in. "I…"
"AVON! HOW COULD YOU WALK INTO A STRANGER'S HOUSE FREELY LIKE THAT? you could have bene killed, or worse!" Rosalia exclaimed, dragging Avon to his agency's car. he looked at her, and growled. "I don't like being bound by roles, rules, Rose." He grumbled, with such a cruel expression.
"What just happened?" Nik asked himself aloud. "Did I seriously…? Oh my God." He sat down on the couch. Smoke curled up in his lap.
Rosalia shoved Avon into the car, and slammed the door, almost hitting him. "And you'll see the other person on television for hostage holding." She mumbled, hopping into the car's driver's side. "I won't. He didn't do that, it's false news, Rose!" Avon interjected, pulling at his hair. He really hated Rose, though they appear to be good friends on news and magazines.
