Morgana hummed to herself, perched near one of the many large windows in the common room as she read, shivering a little when a sudden chilly breeze blew in, despite the warm, sunny day. "Odd…" She mumbled, trying to shake off the strange feeling that had seemed to accompany it. She tapped her fingers against the book's cover, trying to throw herself back into what she had been reading.

The sun beams dance through the trees foliage above in the form of gentle rays, small particles floating peacefully within them. When a small gust of cold wind picks up, Circe looks up to the sky from her spot on the ground but doesn't think much of it.
She still wasn't comfortable in this place, nor was she with the beings that reside with her in here, but she wasn't scared anymore. Not wary or paranoid of every little thing that could possibly go wrong. Circe no longer thought of every way she could figure out to kill the other witches if she needed to or how to escape every situation she got herself into.
That doesn't mean she's comfortable with them by any means. Just that she's gotten a little more used to it.
So something like a slight breeze no longer took any time out of her day like it normally would. No, if anything she enjoyed it. Embraced it. As anyone would on such a sunny day.
That was another thing she wasn't used to. The sun.
But it was alright because Circe had learned from an old friend of hers that just because something was new, doesn't mean that it was always bad. She had to constantly remind herself of those words almost every day. One small thing that's different from what she's used to throws her whole year off if she let it.
Now she lay on her stomach in the grass, surrounded by nature even though it was only a few yards away from the building she was in only a few minutes ago.
She doesn't care to think about todays lesson with her mentor and the other witches. Instead, she her mind rests on the cicadas in the trees humming and the roly-polies climbing along her arms. She texture of her thin clothes being the only thing separating her skin from the earth. The warmth of the sun causing an unreal feeling of comfort as they rays relax the muscles in her body.
Circe lays her head down on her arms, causing the roly-polies to roll up into a ball and fall off into the grass. She fights the urge to fall asleep.
Her red eyes catch something in her peripheral line of sight and her head snaps towards it. A small cicada on the base of a tree trying to find its way out of its molt could be seen. Ants swarm around it and even on it, trying to eat it. Circe sits up and leans over to pick the Cicada up. She pulls it's ridgid legs from the bark and gently dusts off the tiny creatures before letting it rest in her hand to safely continue it's molting process.
Circe had always been jealous of their ability to shed their skin and slip outside of it. It felt so freeing to her. Amongst other things most bugs were able to do that she couldn't. What she would give to be able to be one with their world instead of this hers.

Personality: an idealist, calm and reserved but also has this nervous energy about them, passionate on the inside. Perpetually tired at the same time. Driven by their morality, and often drifts into deep thought. Pretty nerdy, and values their academic success. I imagine they hide many sides of themself though, as they have this mindset that nobody cares or that they have to be certain way for other people. Oh yeah, they’re also a people pleaser. Basically an extension of my gifted kid energy, y’know.
Other: their blood is magical and can be used as a shortcut in many spells. Emery tends to use it to enchant objects and for other types of spells, but they can also manipulate it directly (like with blood bending). This takes more energy though, and the more blood Emery uses, the more they are physically drained. Perhaps as a result of this, their nose and ears tend to bleed occasionally, more often than a normal person. They also have a familiar, a falcon named Flint
