Zack tucked his legs up underneath himself as he watched the tinkling lights of the city. He had somehow found a way to push open the window in the time that Delilah had taken to shower, and was enjoying the light breeze on his face as it pushed slowly into the room. The Demon was the beacon against the wind, so the air didn’t mess with anything in the room as he kept his eyes wide open on the scenery below. Instead the wind pushed his clothes around, ruffled his hair off of his face and tickled his eyelashes as he zoned off in his small perch.
As Delilah argued with herself, Zack quietly listened to his own thoughts of his home as he listened to the white noise of cars below, the wind stirring the blinds, and the shower running a room over. What was he to do in a situation such as this? He hadn’t done a Companionship in such a long period of time, no less for someone not much younger than him. Usually these types of contracts were withheld for smaller children whose parents couldn’t take care of them anymore. This just seemed to be something used by a bored teenager. This whole thing just baffled him. It baffled him to the point of wanting to simply not be in such a situation as this, for when Delilah’s parent inevitably came back, there would be big trouble for her.
When the Human reentered the room, it was still as tidy and clean as they left it. Perhaps a bit chillier due to the window, but Zack’s back was to the door as he watched outside.
