“A demon?” I pulled back , eyes widening in shock. “Gray, you’re not a demon. You’re a blessing—You’re an angel. Why would you say that?”

Gray’s POV:

I tucked her hair behind her ears, smiling down at her, her words making my heart swell. She thought I was a blessing. That alone sent my heart on a happy vacation.

“Well, I don’t think I’m a positive influence on you,” I murmured. “Plus, I’ve got heaps of bad luck strapped to my back. Also, you’re the angel here. I’m just a demon who fell in love with a perfect angel who likes breaking rules.”

“No,” I insisted firmly, mouth still against his chest. “No. You’re not a demon. Or a bad influence. You’re the best thing that’s happened to me since…. since ever, really. Okay?”

Gray’s POV:

I smiled and tilted her head up, pressing my lips against hers gently.

“Okay,” I murmured. “I understand. I love you.”

“Good,” I said, gladly accepting the kiss. “You’re not allowed to degrade yourself, okay? You’re an amazing, absolutely dreamy guy who’s perfect in every single way. End of story.”

Gray’s POV:

“Let’s make a deal, then,” I said against her lips, resting my hands on her waist. “You don’t degrade yourself, and I won’t do it, either.”

My hesitation was visible, arms loosening around his torso. “I—I’ll try my best,” I said finally. “I’ll do my best.”

Gray’s POV:

I noticed her hesitation but pretended I didn’t. While she loosened her hold, I tightened it, kissing her on the forehead.

“That’s my girl,” I murmured, smiling at her.

“Your girl,” I repeated, almost at a whisper. “Your girl. And no one else’s.”

“That’s right,” I hummed in agreement. “Mine.”

A smile claimed my lips.

“I’m glad we agree.”

Gray’s POV:

I scoffed.

“This isn’t even a topic we need to talk about,” I said. “You’re mine just as much as I’m yours.”

“I like to hear you say it, though,” I answered cheekily, dimples forming as my smile widened.

Gray's POV

I chuckled.

"Hear me say that you're mine?"

“Yes,” she answered simply. “Exactly.”

Gray's POV:

"Well, if you like it, then I won't stop saying it," I shrugged. "I'll let you know every day."

“Perfect.”

I went on my tip-toes, bracing my hands against his chest to kiss him.
