"Yeah…" Oliver said quietly. "I'm sorry it's me…" He looked down at the table, his eyes tracing the design on the table.
O/O because why not?
“It’s ok like you said not your fault. It’s just- No one can know about this,” he said biting his lip. “Not Now.”
Oliver nodded. "What are you going to say to Lili? Or anyone for that matter?" He could easily just pretend nothing happened, but Finn, everyone would be interested to hear about every single detail.
Finn shrugged. “That no one else was unfrozen. My soulmate must be on the other side of the ocean. I can deal with Lili’s disappointment but if my aunt finds out My soulmates a dude-,” he lets out another dark laugh. “Well there goes my entire plan!”
(If you don't mind, I kinda want to change my character. I've been writing almost like it's him so I might as well change it. He's Milo)
Milo nodded. He thought that was a pretty good idea, but he was almost disappointed. "Um… if you don't mind me asking, what is your plan?" He asked timidly. He didn't know that Finn had a 'plan' for this.
He slowly shook his head. ”just my life plan. I turn 18, my aunt gives me custody of my little sister, I receive my inheritance, I go to college on a football scholarship,” Finn explains. He usually doesn’t talk to people about this but if Milo tells anyone he’s screwed anyway.
"Ah, okay…" Milo nodded then looked back down to the table. "Um, should I leave?" He didn't really know what to do and he would definitely rather leave and spend his time at home than stay here and awkwardly sit in place.
”I guess if you want to. Lili I did plan the entire day out. It would be a shame to waste it, ” Finn said standing up.
"Well… I wouldn't want to make anything more… I don't know… maybe.. awkward than it already is. I figured if I'm at home then you don't have to worry about me being in the way or anything…" Milo said looking back up at Finn.
Finn shrugged. ”you wouldn't be away and honestly I always hated this ’the rest of the world will be frozen’ thing like do you hear how quiet it is? There's no way I can get through these 24 hours alone, ” Finn said slightly rambling.
"Yeah, it's kinda creepy, like there's no cars or footsteps or sirens or other voices, it's just silence," Milo replied as he looked around. It was really strange, it was more still and quiet than it is in the morning after it snows.
Finn nodded. “So do you want to hang out? We can skip over all the cheesy stuff she had planned,” He suggested.
Milo smiled slightly and looked at Finn. "Yeah! That would be fun!" He stood up slowly and turned toward Finn. "So… what should we do?"
Finn shrugged. “We planned to go to the beach because I said that the waves would also be frozen and she said they wouldn’t which seems impossible to me,” he admits.
"Well, then maybe we should go to the beach to see what it really is!" Milo said, maybe a little too excitedly. He hadn't thought about that, but now a lot was running through his mind.
Finn nodded. “One second,” He said before walking into the kitchen and coming back with a beach bag.
Milo nodded and waited for Finn to come back. When he did, Milo took a step closer to the door. "So are we walking or…?"
“Driving when everyone is frozen doesn’t sound very safe,” Finn admits. “It’s only a few blocks away.”
"True. That would be a bad idea unless you're a skilled motorcyclist." Milo agreed. He walked to the door and opened it, holding it for Finn.
Finn thanked him as he walked through. He had the directions on his phone but he was pretty sure he knew the way.
