"Perhaps. I would love to see you again?" He smiled sweetly before rushing off the crime scene. the Scene was actually in the park, so he only traveled deeper into the trees. He kneeled down and put on his gloves looking at the scene. He was very good at his job. He touched the blood on the girl's shoulder. "There's another one. This isn't her blood. You can test it if you'd like." He analyzed more of the body as information flooded his brain. Then for the first time in forever, he got distracted, he was thinking about that boy. He quickly shook his head and continued to focus.
Devon smiled as the male left, shortly after he realized, He didn't even get his name. He stared at the ground in frustration at himself. But at least he knew Devon's name…right?. He shook his head, "its fine, I will see him again and get his name"
(tempted to have Devon be the murderer or sum)
(Sure why not lol maybe he can get a job as a journalist or something we are just winging it after all)
"Wait, I never gave him my name…"
"What?" Katie said.
"Nothing, nothing, just thinking." He stood up and sighed. He took off his gloves and gave the information to the rest of the team. "Hey Katie have you ever, met someone and they just sort of…clicked. You know like you didn't have fun nor did you feel anything it just clicked?"
Katie scrunched up her face. "I forensic scientist, not a love doctor but yes, I have felt like this. Did this happen to you WIll?" she nudged his arm with a smirk. "Come on tell me what were they like."
"It was only for a couple of seconds before I came here. He was up small. I felt like he was younger than me, but I did not know for sure. He gave me his name. It's Devon. I mean I've met people like that all the time, but he just…you know?" He packed up his suitcase and dusted off his jacket.
(I see, I see nice, like the murderer idea lol)
He went home after the case and stopped by the park. He looked on the bench only to see devon sleeping with his jack as a pillow. He chuckled lightly. He took off his coat revealing a muscular build as he laid the coat he was wearing over Devon. "You shouldn't sleep on a bench, you could get a cold…" he mumbled. He sat on the edge of the bench and pulled out a cigarette. He set it alight and took a deep breath in and a heavy one out.
"I see then. If you would like you could come over for dinner and then go home. Since I need my jacket and you seem to like not giving it back maybe if I bring you home it's like you're bringing my jacket back. Of course, if not I guess I'll just have to live without my jacket. He stood up from the bench and place his cigarette in an ashtray next to the bench. "So are you coming?"
He walked out of the park and into the city. The lights were blinding and cars were loud and honking. He walked along the sidewalk making sure to keep Devon close to him. "I live in that apartment just up the street. I can order something because it's too late for cooking right now. Nor do I really want to. I'm surprised you're even coming with me in the first place. Most people would give back the jacket and walk away, only because I'm a stranger."
"It's scary how easily you trust people." He walked to the apartment building. It looked much nicer than the others. Maybe because they were in the more expensive part of New york city. His shoes clicked on the marble floor, while the sound would bounce off the walls. "After you." he said kindly as the elevator door opened.
"Considering I work the police you have that correct. He pressed the button to one of the higher floors and watched the doors close. "So tell me what you do for a living?" He leaned against the elevator wall. He watched the number slowly go up. He ordered pizza through his phone before shoving the device in his back pocket.
"That's good. If you ever need help getting into work just ask me and I'll put in a good word for you." The elevator rang and the door slid open. "The room on the end is mine. make yourself at home, the food will be here soon. Would you like anything to drink maybe soda, wine, water, etc. I've got options. He opened the door to his apartment, revealing marbled tiles and vast open space. It was quite fancy for a detective, but the room was given to him so it's not like he was complaining.
"Why thank you." Will set his briefcase down next to his coat rack. "Can I have my jacket back now or is there something else I need to do to get it back?" He teased. "Take off your shoes and make yourself at home. He turned on most of the lights except for the ones that led to his bedroom. "You're all the way up here so might as well clean up a bit." Will whispered to himself.
Will raised an eyebrow and looked at Devon. "Put it on the coat rack and then we can sit down and chat for a but. "My name is WIll in case you were wondering." he walked to a door and paused. "I will g take a shower. Don't make me regret bringing you here. You're pretty cute and I would hate for you to get on my bad side." he closed the door behind him and the shower was turned on.
Will got dressed and came out of the shower with a towel around his neck, to dry his hair. He spotted Devon on the couch hugging the jacket. "You really seem to like that jacket. At this point, I think you should keep it at this point." Will poured out two cups of wine. "You're very quiet, you know. You speak in little sentences and you don't really talk about yourself that much. Is there a reason?" He placed one glass on the table and the other he kept in his hand. "Feel free to drink, if not I will be more than happy to take it."
"Hm I see…" The doorbell rang. "That must be the pizza. I'll be back." He got up to go get the pizza. He paid the person at the door before coming back to the couch. He placed the pizza box on the small table in front of them. "I hope you like plain pizza." He took two slices and began to eat happy to do so.
