“Fine, sit up on the edge of the bed and wait here. I’ll be back,” he smiled as he went into the kitchen. He grabbed a red box from his jacket.
She pulled her legs beside her and waited expectantly. She bit her lip and wondered what he was thinking.

He clenched the red box in his hands and went back into the bedroom. "It's like 6 hours early, 2 years late, and in the wrong place, but…" he got down on one knee opening the box. "Ira, will you marry me?"
This time the tears were of joy, not her hormones. She was not able to speak. She finally nodded and hugged him tight. "Babe…" she hugged him after the ring was on her finger. She kissed him tenderly.
