"Not all psychopaths kill people, mind you. Some do, like me, of course, but there are plenty who are much more mild mannered. They simply don't feel guilt, and their empathy and sympathy is very weak. Many psychopaths can actually lead fairly normal lives."

“Really?” He looked up. “I thought…okay.”
"You thought what?" Scipio asked, cocking his head slightly to the side. He seemed to have not blinked in a while, maintaining the vaguely unnerving stare.
He looked down again, unnerved. “I thought all psychopaths killed people,” He said quietly.
Scipio shook his head. "Nope. In fact, most don't. They tend to be a little manipulative, though. Any other questions?"
He pressed his lips together and shook his head, the silence settling over him again.
"Any questions not about psychopaths? I do know about other things as well."
He quickly shook his head again, once more bringing his knees up to his chest. He didn’t know what to say - despite the conversation and protection Scipio was giving him, he was still scared, cold, and confused.
"Ya know, if you want to survive here, you're gonna have to stop being such a coward. It's every man for himself for the most part." Scipio watched Bridge calmly.
“I…I know,” He said softly. “But…yeah, I know.”
"You gotta learn how to fight, kid. Want me to teach you?"
“How…how would do you that?” Bridge asked. “I can’t - can’t fight.”
"By teaching you how to fight. What part of that wasn't clear?" Scipio stood up, the effects of being tased having mostly dissipated by now.
“N-nothing.” He responded quietly, letting his legs hang lose again and looking up at Scipio.
"Well, come on then. Stand up." Scipio stepped backwards. "I'm not gonna hurt you, don't worry."
Bridge stood, nodding slowly.
"So, what all do you know about fighting? I have to know what I'm working with." Scipio shifted his feet to a position where he'd be the most stable.
“I…I don’t know much.” At all.” He admitted, looking at the floor.
"Alright. First, just copy my position. You wouldn't end up staying this way, but it's a stable position where you can dodge attacks easily."
Bridge copied his position, looking up again. “Is…is this good?”
"Good enough." Scipio shrugged. "If your attacker is taller than you, try to punch them in the chest or, if you can reach, their face or jaw. Punching them about here-" He held his fist up to a point on Bridge's jaw. "-hard enough should knock them backwards and break their nose."
“Really?” Bridge asked, golden doe eyes looking up at Scipio, who was now very close to him.
Scipio nodded. "If your attacker is shorter, you could knee them in the stomach. Obviously, there are lots of options either way, but this is just basics. Depending on your strength, there are more options as well. You'll also want to know how to dodge. If I try to punch you in the face, what do you do?" Scipio held his fist in front of Bridge's face as though he were about to punch him.
Bridge blinked, flinching before he realized Scipio wasn’t going to hit him. “Umm…I would…I would step to the side.”
"Good. Quickly." Scipio let his hand fall to his side. "Do you remember anything I did when I fought the guards?"
“You…I remember you bit one. And kicked. A lot.”
"Yeah. That's what you do when you're restrained." Scipio stepped behind Bridge and held his arms behind his back with one hand, holding him still by wrapping one arm around his neck with the other (not too tightly, of course). "Alright, you're restrained. How do you break free?"
“Well…I don’t want to hurt you,” Bridge admitted, taken by surprise from the contact, although he didn’t mind it.
"I seriously doubt you would be able to hurt me badly, but either way, this is simply a demonstration." Scipio tightened his hold slightly. "If you hurt the person restraining you anywhere, they'll likely loosen their hold. People are stupid like that. I wouldn't, of course, but that information would help you with most people."
Bridge nodded, reaching back with his leg to kick him in the shin.
