Okay I’ve Seen New People on RPing and.... (O/O)

(Emi, I apologize for not being on. However, as I am having some personal problems at home, I haven’t been able to get on as much (or at all). Usually when I pull up Notebook.ai, I go to the ones I see first in my notifications and try to respond as quickly as I can, before moving onto the next ones. Sometimes I can’t get to certain roleplays just because of what comes up at the moment. Sorry for the inconvenience that it brings you.)

Adaline’s face lit up when her dish reaches her table, a smile on her face. The steaming eggs looked perfectly cooked, and the toast wasn’t a tad bit burnt. Turning to Dae, she spoke soft, but happily. “This looks wonderful, Dae. Send my thanks to the chef,” Turning her attention back to the food, she dug in, practically melting at the taste. So good…

(Oh, I’m so so sorry. I’m sorry you have problems at home and I hope it gets better soon. If you ever want to talk, I’m absolutely here for you. Sorry for bothering you.)

Dae bowed, his pointy nose brushing the ground. “Of course, m’lady!” He scurried off into the kitchen, where Cameron was cleaning off a pan before starting on another order. He relayed the compliments, Cameron smiled and sent Dae out with more orders.

“You don’t have to call me… alright,” Adaline’s voice trailed off as Dae scurried away. Well, okay then. She went back to eating her breakfast, which tasted as wonderful as it looked. She had to admit that her own breakfasts weren’t up to par.

“And here you are,” Adaline finished scribbling down the tip on the receipt and handed it to Dae along with her card. For being such a popular restaurant and having such good food, the prices were relatively low. Not that Adaline was complaining; she loved good cheap food when she could get it.

Dae bowed and accepted the receipt, handing her a couple chocolate mints in return.
“Thank you, my lady! Please be sure to come back soon! We’ll love to see you again!” And with that, the elf hurried off to give the check to the grumpy man at the bar.

“Oh! Thank you,” Adaline replied softly, stuffing the mints into her bag. Hopefully they won’t melt. Sweeping up her bag in her hands, she gave the restaurant one last long look, and then headed out of the restaurant and into the streets, heading to her flower shop.

Unbeknownst to Adaline, she had accidentally left her wallet at the table, containing her ID, credit cards, cash, and other assorted things.

The bartender rose, grabbing a huge white bucket full of cleaning solution. He lugged it over to the table, noticing her wallet right away.
“Oh?” He asked with a slight, sly smile. He grabbed up her things and turned to the bar, walking up to the kitchen.
“Hey, Cam, we need you to be noble again today.”
Cameron glanced up from his recipe book. “Yeah? What happened??
“Someone forgot their wallet~” The bartender hummed, waving it back and forth.

Adaline continued down the street, unaware of her missing item. Maneuvering out of people's way, she hummed softly to herself, enjoying the sun while she could. Her flower shop was warm, but also slightly stuffy because of the enclosed space, much to the discomfort of her and her employees. Pushing open the doors, Adaline went back to the counter and put her bag down, petting Levi who was lounging in his basket. Such a lazy cat.

Cameron crosses the room and took the things after wiping his hands on his apron. “Really? I’m surprised you didn’t make do with her things, Zackary. I might be getting to you.” He chuckled happily as he stepped out of the kitchen. “I’ll go see if her name brings up any search results and take it to her. If not, we’ll keep it here. And I’ll be keeping it in my office,” He said to his bartender, who rolled his eyes.

“Fine, fine. Who will make do with the restaurant?”

“My extra cook just came in. They’ll be starting soon.”

“How are things?” Adaline asked her employee, touching her gently on the arm. “Family doing alright?”

The employee, who’s name was Kiana, nodded feverently. “Oh yes! You know. actually, my mother just had surgery a couple days ago! She’s fine, but…” The other girl continued to talk, Adaline nodding at certain points or putting in a word of advice.

Still listening, she walked around, touching up plants when needed and gently watering them, careful not to drown them.

Cam took out his phone once he stepped outside, looking into her ID Card to find her name. Adaline….
That sounded familiar.
“Oh damn! She owns a flower shop!” Cameron remembered, slapping his forehead. He remembered Dae talking to him about a cute little shot he walks by whenever he walks to work. Cameron smiled before starting to walk in that direction, repocketing his phone.

Adaline frowned a particular plant, examining its leaves and checking the stem. Looks like this ones not doing too good.

She waited for a pause in Kiana’s ramble before interrupting. “Kiana, I’m going into the back for some plant stuff. Let me know if anyone needs help,” Kiana nodded and continued to ramble about her dog, who apparently had been having some hip problems. Poor puppy, I hope he’ll be alright.

Adaline pushed the back room door open with her hip, eyes roaming the shelf’s for the particular liquid she needed. Rummaging through the boxes, she started to whistle to herself, filling the silence.

Cam soon came up close to the nursery for plants, smiling. The place really was as quaint as Dae had gushed it was. Cameron wasted no time stepping inside the rather warm area with a hum. He gazed around and caught sight of an employee, trotting up.
“Hi! Is Adaline th owner of this place?”?

Kiana’s head popped up. Naturally a suspicious person, her eyes narrowed. When did unreasonably attractive men come into the shop looking for Adaline? “Yes she is. Just a moment, sir.” Kiana rushed off and into the back room, where Adaline was currently reading the labels of the bottles, searching for the right one.

“Adaline, there’s an attractive man waiting in the lobby for you,” At this, Adaline raised an eyebrow. She couldn’t remember meeting someone good looking recently. Walking out of the back room and into the main part of the shop, she dusted her hands off and greeted the man with a “How can I help you, sir?” Kiana was right; he was good looking.

Cameron rose his eyebrows slightly at the woman’s reaction to him but nodded, turning to look at a few flowers that he and Cormac could plant in their garden together. He turned once Adaline came out, smiling and taking her things out of an apron pocket.
“You left your wallet in my restaurant. I came here to give it back.”

(gentle poke)

Adaline’s eyes widened and she rushed to him, taking the wallet from him gently. “Oh, thank you so much!” she said, brightly smiling up at him before leafing through her wallet, making sure everything’s there. Wait a minute. His restaurant?

“Wait, you own that restaurant? What is it called again?” she snapped her fingers together, trying to remember the name. Adaline was awful at names, something she wasn’t very proud of.

Cameron smiled warmly, his face lighting up with it. “You’re very welcome! You should consider yourself lucky I managed to knock some sense into my bartender.” He chuckled softly and turned on his heel, only to turn back.
“Oh? The name of my restaurant is just “Cam’s Seafood”. Ir’s very simple.” He shrugged.

Adaline’s cheeks flooded with embarrassment. Of course you forget the simplest of names. Good going! “Oh, well, the food was very good, Cam, I’m presuming?” she said softly, suddenly shy. And this is why you hide behind plants all day.

Cameron chuckled softly, smiling. “Well that’s for you to tell me, yeah? If the food was good or not?” He asked jokingly, sticking his hands in his apron pockets. “But, really, how was the food? Good, hopefully.”

“It was literally the best breakfast I have ever had,” Adaline blurted, before turning pink. There I go again. She cleared her throat, and spoke again. “What I meant, is that the food was really good.” she said somewhat shyly, turning slightly to lift up a plant, the dead leaves turning green again.

Cam chuckled softly, bumping her a little with his shoulder. “I know. I was just kidding. Thanks for the compliment. You should try and come during lunch when you can. A lot of people say that’s the best time to go.”

Adaline stumbled a little at the bump, but straightened herself. She sent a small smile at him. "I would, but around noon is always our busiest time. Maybe this Saturday?" She tapped a finger to her chin, thinking on what she had planned.

Cameron grinned back and stepped away slightly, not wanting to make the woman feel uncomfortable. He knew the bump was a stretch, and the small smile she had on her face seemed forced.
"Saturday sounds great!" He exclaimed a bit too excitedly.

Adaline smiled widely at his excitedness, a giggle escaping her lips. How cute. “Saturday at noon it is,” She had an meeting that day, but it could easily be moved to another time. Seeing Cameron a second time and eating his delicious food again was worth the annoyed looks Dorothy would send her.

Cameron nodded and looked at a few plants, watching as they bloomed back to life. "So, what types of flowers do you sell? Any cacti? My son wants one," Cameron admitted with a smile, looking back up at Adaline.
