I tend to enjoy templates because I like seeing everyone's characters and having a reference, but I tend to leave it up to a general vote, since some like to use rps to flesh out characters. Weather or not this is turn based also depends on general consensus and what everyone thinks will work best!

Alright then! I tend to let my rps pile up (oof it's a bad habit I know) and I promise I will try my best to overcome my procrastination, but given that in mind, I feel like a turn-based rp would work best, and especially if some people aren't as active as others, that way we won't leave anyone behind. :D
And thank you! As for templates, that sounds good! Before a template is put up, I have one last question to ask- I tend to use Pinterest for my characters. Like, a whole heckin' ton. Is it okay if I include Pinterest links in my template? And if so, should I describe them as well, or…?
