Nich nodded, still looking down at her with a curious expression. He thought she seemed kind of big for a pup, but she was also a werewolf, so that was to be expected. "How many pups do you have in the pack?"

Ember watched them both for a moment and laughed "uh well….im not exactly sure id say probably seven? "
"Mm… are there a lot of members?" He asked, looking around. Most wolves were still in their den since it was pretty early.

"There's probably around 30, for now anyway most leave to find new territory. "
"I guess that makes sense." Nich hummed thoughtfully, wrapping his tail around himself. "I'm not sure where most of my kind live…" He thought for a moment. "Anyway, I guess we should continue the tour now that it's day again."

Nich nodded and got to his feet. "That is odd. I assume that it isn't normal for wolves to just disappear without warning?"

"Well, let's get looking, then. Where do you think she might have gone?" Nich asked. "I've never met her, so I don't really have any ideas…"

"Sounds good." Nich nodded and sat back down to wait for Ember to come back.

"Just watch the pup for a few minutes I'll be right back. " ember pushed the wolf next to nich and started grouping up a few other wolves to look for the pups mother.
"Right." Nich watched the pup closely to make sure she didn't wander off or get into trouble.

Ember and the other wolves weren't gone long before her and a few other wolves found blood lots of it leading closer out of the trees ember sniffed it and snarled, it was from the pup's mother, they followed the trail for a bit before they found the body it was mangled and ripped apart it looked as if a monster had done this all around them was the scent of hunters the rest of the scouting wolves made their way over to the body having smelt hunters and they were all shocked ember made them all leave except three, they were to stay and clean up as she gathered the rest of the pack they were in danger and they needed to leave, she made her way back to nich looking a little distressed

Nich stayed put as instructed, keeping the pup close, but he was starting to grow uneasy. His fur stood on end with a chilling sense of foreboding, and he glanced around nervously. He was able to catch a hint of the thick blood smell from where he was and pulled the pup closer to himself so she wouldn't smell it.
When Ember returned, he looked up at her worriedly but didn't speak. Judging by Ember's expression, the blood smell was coming from the pup's mother, and he didn't want to ask any questions about it with her around.

Ember walked over the nich and sat down looking at the pup and sighed "we're leaving… Far from here you can come with us if you want but if you want to stay near your family I understand but it's not safe here anymore. "
"Where are we going?" Nich asked softly, letting Ember take the pup from him. He didn't even know her name and she had, presumably, just lost her mother. "Do you have a plan, or are you just uprooting everything and leaving?"

"I'm not sure yet but the bod- it was to close to the pack.. We can head up the mountain or just leave completely. "
Nich nodded a bit. "The mountain might work. It's not so far that it would be super difficult to move there, but it's difficult enough terrain for humans that you wouldn't have so much trouble with hunters."

"Yeah, that's true. You could also make sure that you've got more guards posted at all hours of the day and night?" Nich suggested.

"Wouldn't it help, though? Maybe they saw whoever was with her." Nich glanced down at the pup, trying to avoid directly saying that her mother had died.
