It's not the best place, but it's where quite a few struggling artist can afford to live.
One is a grunge bassist know locally for being a good healer. No-one really understands the symbols she likes to draw on bandages, but they seem to help.
The other is a glam-metal asshole with a talent for singing and pissing people off. Needless to say, they make a lot of visits to her rundown apartment.

Well, I have a character who is the grunge one, if you're okay with that.
The plot is basically a romance among the "tough part" of town and violence, along with the local underground scene. It can really go anywhere we want it too.

Personality: She is a complete asshole at times with no regard for other people and their feelings. But there are times that the more man and caring side of her is shown, although it is rather rare. Deep down, she is a complete sweetheart, but she learned that if she acted tough people would actually think she was. So she put up a very, very, very tough front. But she does feel like maybe there is one person that she can be herself around, only a little bit though.
Habits: She doesn't exactly know when to stop an argument, so she'll keep on arguein and arguing trying to get her point across while also making the person even more upset.
Likes: To belt out a song for absolutely no reason, getting into a good fight (sometimes), and to have her way.
Dislikes: People, she really doesn't like people at all, she prefers animals to them completely.

Other: Does witchcraft, is basically the local medic. Her mother was a nurse and taught her some things, and she figured out some other things via books or other sources along the way. Plays bass.

Aurora hummed, picking at her bass when she heard a knock on the door. She put the instrument to the side, grabbing her kit and heading to the door, yanking it open. "Yeah?"
Aisling stood on the other side her head down. SHe wasn't embarrassed that she had gotten into another fight, she just felt a little embarrassed that she had lost it, "It's Aisling, can you let me in already?" She was holding her left arm gingerly, "Sorry, Can you please let me in?" She wasn't sure what she, or the other person, had done, but all she knew was that her arm hurt like hell.
"Shit, Aisling, come in-" She said, stepping aside to let her in. "Who did you piss off this time? What did they do?"
"I don't even know, I think it was either a bartender or someone." She said shrugging, then winced as she moved her arm, "Well, we got into a bit of an argument, I think the guy was drunk and wanted, well. . .you know, and I got mad and stuff, and a bar fight ensued." She said the last bit as if it was a completely normal thing, "So, uh, what're you gonna do about this?"
"Sit down, I need to get a good look at it." She said quickly, going to grab some water for the painkillers.
Aisling sat down in one of the nearest chairs and then let her arm fall into her lap. She winced as she let it go, and began to study it for herself. It was black and blue and was still hurting, so probably she'd have to lay low for a little til it healed, other than that, it wasn't too bad. Then turning, she caught a glimpse of her face in a mirror, "Oh great. . ." She trailed off. She never really lost the fights that she got into, so what happened this time, and even worse, she felt as though she might have another run-in with this guy soon.
Aurora crouched on the floor next to her, gently taking her arm in her calloused hands. "Damn…"
Aisling winced again when Aurora moved her arm, "That bad, huh?" She hoped she hadn't broken it or anything, a month in a cast would just suck, and would probably end up getting her into a few more fights than normal, "Is there anything you can do about it?"
"Well, nothing seems broken, or horribly sprained, so no cast. But you have a fuck ton of cuts and a lot of bruising."
