“I’m not here on weekends, and Dan isn’t here on Mondays or Tuesdays, there will be another worker here during the weekend, Monday and Tuesday. Their name is Georgia.” Will explained. “Also I’m in the park a lot, taking in sights, mostly at night, so maybe we can meet there sometime?”

"Ahh, I see. Well, I'll try my best to be here when you are, then. Maybe I'll even detour towards the park, who knows?" He said. He knew it'd be hard to make time for it all, but his determination was unbeatable at the current moment. "Gee, my first reliable friend, this is awesome!" He chirped. He kind of stood up, all the sudden, and couldn't control his overall excitement.
( Oh Sorrel, you're so awkward oh my gosh, I'm laughing so hard- )
“Well, we are closing soon, you’ve been here for a while. Maybe you could help close and we can walk together?” Will asked, he stood back up and left the counter, to stand beside Sorrel.
Will moved his hair out of his face. “Does that sound good?”
Sorrel kind of had an internal semi-panic after Will moved his hair. It really shocked him, in a way, but he wouldn't admit that. "I uh- yes! One hundred percent!" He said, standing with a sort-of salute to Will. "What would you like me to do? I'll try anything, as long as it helps!" He said, with energy.
“Dan can take care of the kitchen, and I usually clean the floors and tables, so if you could do the floors that would be great!” Will said with a gentle smile.
Dan groaned and woke up, yelling. “Will! I already cleaned! I’m going home!”
Will sighed. “Ok Dan…”
Dan walked out of the kitchen, he was a pretty short, pale man with brown hair and green eyes. His hair was extremely messy and unclean, and Dan was wearing the same uniform as Will.
“Alright, I’m leaving. Make sure you close tonight…” Dan said, opening the door to leave.
“Don’t worry about me, go on.” Will said waving to Dan as he left.
Sorrel waved simply at Dan, watching him as he left. Sorrel then went to the storage closet, and found himself a broom. "This should do-" He said, to himself. He gracefully moved around the cafe's general seating area, sweeping as he saw fit. He thought of the broom as a person, suddenly. With a giggle, he began to 'dance' with the thing, letting his mind go astray. He was truly carefree.
( Can't come on during weekends, by the way, just a mini-warning. )
(I got sick sorry)
Will giggled a bit, at least he was having fun. Will started to clean down the tables, making sure to get underneath. The dishes were already cleaned, or in the dishwasher. Dan was kind enough to clean up the dishes before he left.
Will yawned somewhat silently. I just had to skip out on my daily coffee… at least I didn’t fall asleep.
( Oh my gosh, I hope you're feeling well now! )
Sorrel twirled around that broom one last time, as he noticed the last prominent bit of floor-dust. He cleaned it, putting his focus onto it's annihilation. "Hey Will- does this look clean enough?" He asked, as his eyes reflected some light. He was so proud of himself.
Will smiled, trying to get through the tiredness he felt. “Yeah, it’s great. Thank you so much!”
Will put down the wash cloth, and put the bucket underneath the table. Will got out from behind the counter and walked towards Sorrel.
Sorrel noticed Will approaching him suddenly, and kind of squeaked. He didn't expect it, and it kind of made him yelp a small bit. "It's just a little of my work, nothing much." He muttered, as a little blush took to his cheeks.
Will caught Sorrel’s gaze and blushed a bit, slightly embarrassed. “It is a big help. Wanna walk through the park now? The fairy lights should be on right about now.”
Will looked outside, some of the fairy lights around the city we’re turned on, many colors were there. It was quite a sight.
Sorrel nodded, and followed Will outside of the cafe. He'd almost never seen the city this late at night, and the sight of it amazed him. The fairy lights each had such a color, it struck him with wonder. "Woah," He whispered.
Will smiled, going towards the door. “I’m always up late, so I’m used to it, but it’s still amazing to see none the less.”
Will held the door open for Sorrel, Will knew he could stay up longer if he needed to.
Sorrel felt in awe of the things outside. "Will, you've got such a cool job, you get to see these lights, and you've got never ending coffee!" Sorrel remarked. He really envied Will for that. "And then you're so sweet, oh all of this together makes me feel so happy." He whispered. He closed his eyes and allowed himself to suck everything in.
“This place is my life. My café is what I do, even if I was in a bad city, I wouldn’t let it go to waste. I love my job, I love bringing happiness to people, and one day I’ll open my café around the country.” Will said, he dreamed of his café being beyond successful every night. He keeps as much money saved, he wasn’t afraid to build onto his dreams. “This city is my home, I wouldn’t ask for my life to be any other way.”
Sorrel turned to him, a deep admiration taking stage in his pastel pink eyes. In that moment, the light hit them just right, making them appear sparkling. "You really have your life planned out, I'm astonished." He muttered. He kept himself still, then, taking in Will's appearance. He'd have to remember Will, keep coming back to him, he'd have to make sure Will knew how much the day meant to him.
“I had it planned since my grandfather died and gave me the place. College gave me some support, and it all worked out I guess.” Will said with a quiet chuckle. “At first I wasn’t that interested in running the place, but eventually I got used to it, even meeting Georgia and Dan in the process. It was worth it.”
Will looked up at the sky, the stars were shimmering, it was beautiful, it complemented the fairy lights wonderfully.
Sorrel smiled. "Well then, I guess some things work out." He said. He noticed Will's gaze shifted to the sky, and he led his eyes there, only because of that. It reminded him of the last day he was home with his own family. "Oh wow," He gasped, soundlessly. He thought about something, and tried to put his finger on what he was forgetting.
Will watched the stars, staying somewhat silent. All that could be heard was the soft wind, brushing against his hair. The moon was bright, looking down at the earth. Some airplanes flew across the sky, stars drawing constellations. It was amazing. Will could stay like this forever.
Sorrel finally put his finger on it. He's forgotten to actually tip Will for his exquisite services. 'Oh well,' he thought to himself. 'I'll leave double next time, to make up for it.' He added, in his mind. He lost his train of thought, as he noticed a star. He liked this one, it twinkled a lot more than the others. He smiled at it, as if it meant the world to him.
Will took in the fresh air outside, some remaining smells of the café lingered around in the air. The wind pushed Will’s hair back a bit, letting it calmly flow in rhythm to the wind. Will met eyes with the same star Sorrel saw, taking in small details. The star was slightly blue, it looked wonderful, it stuck out a lot more then the others.
"Such a pretty individual, one that appears different than all others." He said. Before he became a cubicle-type office worker, he'd wanted to be an astronomer. "I wonder what it's made of." He added. A sudden yawn. He was getting awfully tired, and it could mean one of two things. Either he was just tired, or he was about to go out, big time. "Will-" He said, sharply.
( Small reminder, this guy has some Narcolepsy, causes the bearer to fall asleep at random- )
“Is something wrong?” Will jerked his head, his posture tense. He was looking at Sorrel now, ready to grab a hold of him if something happened. Will didn’t know why but he felt slightly protective. It was an unfamiliar feeling. He hasn’t felt this way since his first relationship back in high school, which ended after a year. He hasn’t had one since. “Do you need help?”
Sorrel kind of hobbled towards Will. "It's a Narcolepsy thing, I'm about to completely pass out, Will, I'm not dying, so don't worry, just make sure I don't hit the ground." He said, instinctively. He had his little speech ready as usual, oh, but why did he have to use it then? He hoped Will wouldn't be frustrated with him, sometimes people got that way about it. Slowly, but as expected, his vision went hazy. "Here it comes…" He said, as he completely blacked out.
Will caught Sorrel, Will wasn’t that strong, so he struggled to hold him up. Will took a deep breath and picked Sorrel up bridal style, and although it hurt his arms, he went through the pain. Will started to run towards his apartment, which wasn’t that far away. It was about a block away from the café, but it was still a distance. Will kept his pace steady, trying his hardest not to faint, or worse, drop Sorrel. Will had a roommate who always had the room unlocked when he was home, so Will prayed he was at home. Will arrived at the door, but realized he couldn’t open the door. Oh no… what do I do? Will looked around, and sat Sorrel on the ground, then proceeded to open the door.
Ryan(Will’s roommate)waved. “Yo. How’s it-“
Ryan walked over, looking at the asleep guy on the ground, sitting. “Um, did something happen at work…?”
Will panted a bit, sweat rolled down his face, he looked paler then usual. “H-He.. he has… Narcolepsy… He… fell asleep… help…”
Ryan nodded and easily picked up Sorrel, Ryan was much stronger then Will. Ryan put Sorrel down on the couch, then looked back at Will who came in and shut the door.
Ryan sighed. “You know, you could have called me.”
Will fell over, fainting on the ground.
Ryan sighed annoyed. “Really?”
Ryan picked Will up and place him on the left recliner beside the couch.
(Wow that was a big one… oof.)
( It's nothing, don't worry! Actually astonishing! )
