She rolled her eyes with a smile. "Weirdo."

He looked like he was actually struggling with a response before he gave up, shrugged, and just said, "Because"

“Okay well…” he was very clearly trying to think of an insult but failed and just did a frustrated hand motion.
She rolled her eyes with a smile. "Cat got your tongue, darling? Come on, I thought you were the smooth talker here."
