"Do it coward!" She taunted with a grin.
“I will don’t test meeeeee!!” Jax screeched
"Then do it! I dare you!" Was she flirting with death? Maybe a little. Was she about to stop? Hell no! Not when it was this much fun.
“No one’s stabbing anyone. I always hide the knives when people come over. Especially Jax.” Ethan said.
"Aww, I wanted to see if he'd actually do it." She laughed. "Feisty one, ain't he? It's way too much fun to mess with him."
“Yep, he’s just a big angry baby.” Ethan said jokingly, smiling softly at Jax who rolled his eyes.
“Whatever…I’m gonna go take a shower or something.” Jax grumbled, getting up and leaving the room.
"We love you!" She called after him. She chewed on her lip for a minute. "Think I went too far?"
Ethan shrugged. “To be fair I kinda started it.” He let out a heavy sigh. “I forget sometimes that he’s actually really sensitive”
She frowned with a sigh. "Well, then I guess we should apologize. I, of all people, should know what it's like to put on a mask to hide how much something hurts."
“Yeah probably. He won’t outright accept it or admit that he was hurting though, just as a heads up. He’s never really acknowledged that he’s had any type of negative feelings. Like…ever.”
"I'll get through to him. They say that things have to get worse before they get better. He's going to keep pushing. I just have to keep pushing back."
Ethan nodded. “He does listen though. And he’ll appreciate it.”
"Hey, I've got to at least try, right? Can't let him think I don't care."
“Yeah…but let’s just give him his space for a few minutes, he likes it better that way.” He did seem to know a lot about Jax’s behavior.
"Well, I don't blame him. Everyone needs their space after having their buttons pushed."
“Mhm.” Ethan said, sitting back down at the table.
"So I guess we wait. At least for now."
“Yep. He only needs like 10 minutes though.”
"I just feel a little bad. I know what it's like to have your buttons pushed and to have it hurt."
“Yeah….we’ll just have to be really nice to him to make up for it.”
"We have to show him we actually care. Cause we do."
“We really do. It’s just so fun to tease him.” He chuckled softly.
"That's true, it really is." She giggled.
“Hopefully he’ll forgive us…we have been a little bit relentless with the teasing.”
"Just a tad bit." She chewed on her lip. "Wow, I seriously sound like a concerned girlfriend, what's up with that?"
Ethan chuckled. “Welcome to my world.”
"Hey, maybe one day I actually will be. Just getting in my practice now."
“Yeah maybe one day. We’ll probably be fighting for the position honestly.”
