Jax had begun drooling on Ethan’s shirt in his sleep.

She smiled a little, nuzzling into him. "If you don't want your shirt stained with his drool, I recommend finding a way to plug his mouth."
“Eh, too late now. It’s fine.”
"Well, your loss. Can't say I didn't try to help."
He chuckled softly. “I’ll be okay.”
"You say that now." She rolled her eyes with a smile.
He chuckled again, falling silent.
She hummed quietly, watching Jax sleep with a small smile.
“Should we wake him up?” He asked.
"Nah, let him sleep. He's cute when he's calm like this."
“Mm true.”
"So I guess we get to just lay here and watch him."
“I guess, yeah.”
"That sounds so creepy out of context."
“It really does, doesn’t it? Good thing we know we’re not creeps.”
"Not creeps. Just lovers. That's when it goes from creepy to cute."
“Yep.” Ethan replied, smiling softly down at Jax.
"So, did you think this is what you were going to be doing today when you woke up this morning?"
“Nope. Never could’ve guessed I’d be this lucky.”
"I don't know if luck is really the word for it."
He shrugged. “Either way…no this is not how I was expecting my day to go.”
"Yeah, I didn't think so. To be fair, I didn't expect mine to go this way either."
“Well, we’re all stuck with each other now.” He said, chuckling softly.
"You say that like it's a bad thing." She teased.
“You know what I mean.” He replied with a small smile.
"Sure I do. And I'm not saying it's a bad thing either. Just that you need to find a better way to phrase it."
“Yeah you’re right.” He leaned over, flicking her gently in the forehead. “Since when have you been so smart?” He teased
"Since when have you been so dumb?" She eased back with a giggle. "I thought you were the smart one out of the three of us."
“I am the smart one, you’ve simply moved up a bit from your normal level of stupidity.” He rolled his eyes, but laughed as well.
"Hey!" She flicked his forehead with a pout. "That's no way to treat your girlfriend!"
